@RiotRepertoir So why a Stun on Taric's new E instead of a Charm?
Its far more thematic for him and imo fits the ability name "Dazzle" much better

You mean to tell me you don't find Taric... STUNNING??
A few main reasons. Happy to go into more detail if needed.
- All other things equal, a charm is generally stronger than a stun given that it displaces and changes facing.
- It generally felt like the desire for Taric to have a charm was more about personality than gameplay, and the gameplay hooks we ended up choosing for his update felt more appropriate with a stun instead of a charm.
- It seemed like we could get most of the "charm" the character needed through emotes, VO, alternate skin fantasies, etc.
For what it's worth, we did spend a fair amount of time testing a charm on his kit. Just decided it wasn't the best fit in the end.
He doesn't need a skill to charm.
YEZ PLZ he is gonna be so damn OP anyway, so lets make him OP the right way :D
The boring answer is because they didn't want Taric to get the extra pick power a charms slow walk provides. It's also slightly better for peeling as a stun. On the other hand, it would let you charm people from Urgot's beautiful body, and I don't think you can say no to that.

You can't say no if your stunned.
I think they should just make it charm and stun, so you see the charmed effect but it doesn't affect the gameplay :)
I don't think they will since Ahri's "unique" thing is charming since no one else has it. But I approve, Taric is too handsome and fabulous, he needs to be able to charm.
Probably because it can be cast from two people, so if you hit someone with both of them, how would they decide which takes priority? And even if they just had it be something like prioritizing Taric, that would still leave an extra burden of knowledge for the ally Taric is working with.
I think its a stun cause they don't want to completely get rid of the only good thing about him before. But a charm would be funny imo.
Why not both? Would be crazy if the E could stun male champions and charm the female champions, I dont know if that is possible until the launch to live or if riot will like a ability like that E towards male champions like now, and towards female champions a smaller width
