Jhin vs Other ADC's

Jhin combines a lot of the things I like about adc's, but also has some gameplay of a champion like Ekko. Yesterday I was playing Jhin in bronze and I really set a trap for everyone on their team. I drew them into a hallway in the jungle near my base, rooted the nearest one with a trap and gunned them all down with my ultimate from inside my friggin base. As a result, rengar got a triple kill and I sniped the fourth enemy.

Like, I pulled some really sexy shit in that game, just like I do with Ekko and thats not something I think you can really do with a champion like Miss Fortune. Or at least there is so much more variety and creativity with Jhin. Anyway, we lost because of afk A.Sol support on our team and I think rengar was more concerned with having a good KDA, but it was a blast to play that game.

When I play Jhin, I feel like I am always on my back foot, but I have a ton of shit up my sleeve. People think they can just come at me, but its dangerous to do so and I really like that. I feel like Im a target, but one that needs to be respected and I like that. And I did earn some respect that game. They were grouped at our mid inhib turret and my team was no where to help, but since I had just gotten done fucking them all with my ultimate, I just popped R and they were so respectful of the shit I was doing in that game that they all fucking ran and I saved the turret with a BLUFF.

Sometimes I talk about Halo 3 on this forum, which is a game I loved to play because I felt like I could always turn a bad situation into a good one with traps, baits, headgames, and fast planning. But I dont think I ever really talk about bluffs and that is something you could use to a good degree in halo. Im starting to appreciate Jhin more now because he's got some of that trap/bait gameplay and yesterday I saw that bluffing with his ulti was there too.

I think you got the point of the champion pretty well.

yea he is a ton of fun. His pacing is really really good. Thats another thing I like about him. Pacing. Its pretty brisk, but not in a hurry.

And he can contribute a lot even when he cant auto, because his ult is long range and has a pretty long duration. It adds a lot of pressure and you can use that pressure.

His kit and play style really resemble his personality. He is rather a calm in rhythm at the begin but when the fights enters it's decisive act his tempo also needs to change its peace into a violent composition.

Plus a thing that I personally like about him is his ability to make team plays since you can isolate targets during a retreat or split their team during an engage.

Most of the kits in League work well enough as a whole, but since Braum's release onward I think every champion that's been released (including the major re-works on Tristana, Sion, and Poppy) every champion seems to really shine when it comes to continuity in their kit and synergy with their roles and play styles. They just feel so... complete, and they're all so unique in what they offer. There's just a huge sense of... wholeness... for lack of a better word when you play the newer champs.

Anyway, I agree--you can really feel the play styles when you get into matches with the newer champs. Kudos to ChampUp and Champ Designers.

I agree. I just wish the game didnt feel so uneven right now. It feels really healthy in some areas, but the unhealthy areas get a lot of attention.

Yeah... It's hard to watch, but I think it's understandable given the difficulty of keeping a game like this in check--and people will always prey on negativity. It's nice to enter a post that actually has a positive conversation running.

Jhin and Kalista definitely stand out from the crowd, though... You know it gets in your head when the decision making carries over. I played a 40 min Jhin game yesterday immediately followed by an MF, and I caught a bunch of flak from my friends in the first few minutes of the second game because I was timing my shots and pausing to reload as MF. It just kinda sucks because as Jhin I can choose to play supportive and use my kit to enable my team or I can play hard carry and focus on blowing stuff up. With almost every other ADC there's no choice involved; it's all a binary mix of positioning and unloading combos/ autos.
