Runaan's hurricane changes - WHY? ?

EDIT: Thanks FantasySniper for pointing out that the Runaan's change adds 10 damage to the main target compared to the old version, thereby justifying the price increase.

Original post for context: Runaan's is already considered a noob trap on anyone not named kalista or kayle (Maybe teemo? Twitch? ) So recurve bow was given 10ad and made 200g more expensive with a build path - GREAT. Runaan's had 10ad moved from the old passive to the new one - whatever. Nothing changes.

In balancing all of the build paths, every other item stayed at the same cost. Runaan's increases in price by 100g.

Let's put this in context: Blade of the Ruined King got the same build path buff, decreasing the combine cost and adding 10 on hit damage to the build, is already a wildly popular and good (debatably OP) item, and total cost stayed the same. Runaan's is a noob trap item that's rarely used, and it's cost is up 100g.

Where's the logic?

this is intended to nerf darius' early game.

The 10 base damage was always there, except now it's actually somewhat of a buff because you get 10 more damage on your main target.

Runaan's build path was horrible and is only based on attack speed, so now you can get some flat damage as well as easier attack speed access before finishing it.

THIS.

THANK-YOU!

I didn't realize that the 10 damage was only on the two side-targets, not on the main target. So that actually makes it a buff to Runaan's and justifies the 100g price increase. Makes perfect sense now (as BotRK / Wit's End / etc... already had the on-hit on main target and thus weren't buffed but Runaan's didn't and hence is).

its definitely a viable option for twitch assuming the enemy team has no more than 1 tank.

i dislike the change, but they're pretty much looking at kalistas ability to rush that as a first item and skill compete against someone who rushes an ie first item.
