I was 10-1 in my last 11 ranked games between flex and solo. I just lost a game in both queues.

And now I’m terrified to play another game in either. In my win streak, I had great teammates. Cooperative, not toxic, played intelligently, stayed positive. Even lane that lost in this win streak stayed positive and within 20 CS, and didn’t die 6+ times. That changed last night, and the old familiar things started re-emerging in both games. Feeding bot lanes, junglers that refused to help their teams and instead AFK farm while their base was being taken, players AFKINg period - all of these things occurred in games that I could’ve carried if people just...cooperated.

This is becoming an usual stench. I get teams that do cooperate, I’ll get it for like 8-10 games in a row and generally I’ll go at least 60% win rate and those games. Then it’ll turn around and be the opposite for the next 8-10 games in a row, and I’ll only win 20-30% of those games if I’m lucky - I’ve actually had 2 separate 10 game loss streaks this season. Prior to that, and I’ve been playing since season 2, I have never once had a 10 game ranked loss streak. And no, I certainly cannot predict another one now. But the fact is, because this teeter tooter-matchmaking keeps occurring, I’m scared to death to even attempt to play another game because it seems I’m back to getting absolutely terrible teams. And worse off, not only are they bad but they’re incredibly toxic - worse than I’ve ever seen before.

Listen, I don’t like conspiracy theories. I don’t like to assume match making has changed. However, as a player that never struggled to maintain a 54-55% win rate when I tried, I’m struggling to keep a 47-49% win rate. I’ve never seen team match making dynamics like this, and I’m sorry but chance alone of these things occurring the way they do would suggest it’s inconceivable that it’s happening. And yet, it is and I’m at the point where I’m not willing to call it bad luck anymore. I’m playing really well too, so I’m not even willing to blame myself - of course, I always take a loss as an opportunity to learn still, so I’ve actually gotten to a point where I’m playing close to my peak play that I reached around season 5/season 6. And yet, that does not seem to matter at all. I pick first and get countered, so my lane phase is thrown away - and now I have to depend on my team. And with this match-making being what it is, how on earth can I ever do that? And that’s why I’m terrified to even boot up another game, and no player should ever feel that away about a game they’re supposed to enjoy. You’ve got some serious questions to ask yourself riot, though I doubt you hear me over all the damn Esports notifications that nobody gives a shit about being spammed in my client, causing it to crash mid-champ select. I suppose that’s my fault too.

Well one, it is extremely obvious that the two queues don't affect each other at all. Two, its funny how win streaks are always deserved and not "forced wins" yet losses are always "forced losses". Third, why is the number of games before "riot forces me to lose" always the EXACT number of games that the person with the tinfoil hat had been doing well for? OmG I won 3 games now riot forces me to lose. OmG I won 5 games now riot forces me to lose. OmG I won 10 games now riot forces me to lose. Weird how it always changes to the exact number huh?

The mental gymnastics you people do are incredible

I think that's a pretty easy bias for folks to have. Promotion to new tier takes 3 games. So a Streak of 3 = promotion. The issue is 3 games is not really relevant.

Any game after a players arbitrary Streak value. Any loss "ends the streak." So 3-5-10 etc chains you see folks complain about. For reasons I don't understand alot of folks starting value is 3 games which is insanely common even at 50% odds. The very first loss after that "Ends a streak".

But its MMR. W = +points and L= - points. Its a balance, so the order is irrelevant to your MMR and might matter only for promotions. WLWW Vs WWWL Is the same. Your equation looks like (+mmr, -mmr, +mmr, +mmr) = (+mmr, +mmr, +mmr, -mmr) Put in some values (2-2+2+2)=(2+2+2-2) so 4=4 when you reduce it.

Now losing because of a bad player is annoying, and if your streak ends and you have been playing very well and climbing to make that streak happen your feeling like your stronger then your peers. So its upsetting to get that loss from bad teammates.

But... That's the most likely reason for a loss right. Who loses games and thinks, "oh its cuz me and my team are all better players they beat us?" The most likely reason to lose a game if your not the problem? Your team. That's why folks get stuck in the first place. Your impacts not enough to stand out often enough you break away from the expected Standard deviation for distribution.

A fair game does not mean all your teammates are going to do well and win their role. That assumes that they are all superior to their counterparts. So when 1 player loses their god dam mind because say top lost lane and /GG FF then rolls over to afk farm the rest of the game? The player with the I give up attitude is a fucking problem. When folks in game claim RITO RIGGED IT after doing that shit? I get annoyed, because its shitty behavior to give up for no reason what so ever.

To many idiots don't realize that if in every game they win but it normally requires every single teammate to preform their counterparts? People who ignore that the single consistent link for their wins is they need 4 winning allies on their team. I would say odds are that dude is deadweight. Cant rely on yourself to pull the weight for even 1 player and still think your a god at the game and deserve to climb? really?[zombie-brand-facepalm]
