What do you think as Malzahar against a Zed Mid and Fiddlesticks Jungle?

My own jungler was an Eve who was useless for much of the game. EDIT: How do you think this game should be played by the Malzahar player?

That matchup would probably mostly depend on how actively the jungler's affected the lane. In a straight up 1v1 Malz should be able to kill Zed 90% of the time, but a decent Zed won't go in on you while you have your ult and its hard to actually catch him yourself, so most likely it'd be pretty much a farm off.

If fiddle ganks much though that lane could become very difficult, as he has two different ways to disrupt you and zed can follow up really easily. Eve doesn't have nearly as much of a chance of pulling off a gank unless you set it up. All in all you should probably just try to farm up, avoid ganks and wait for teamfights. In a 5v5 you can lock down zed the moment he comes in and completely neutralize him. Just be careful when you use your ult, it can be pretty hard to get in a full channel.

Thanks for the details. What ended up happenning in the game was that I was using my ult on Fiddle's channelling ult to cancel it.

Use your Q to do that. And kill Zed before fiddle comes. If you have your ult, you should be able to kill him really easily.

a decent zed builds qss right after brutalizer, and then malz has a very very bad time

You're level 7 lol. Fiddle is actually really weak at the moment.

Can compose a proper guide please? Really weak doesn't cut it.

Farm and keep farming. Zed will blow if he tries to engage on you and you really can't catch him by yourself unless he messes up position and shadow at the same time. You outscale him so keep farming and farming

Ward both sides of the river, push him to the tower with EQ and then retreat. If you see Fiddle coming and he doesnt know, he will probably waste his ult. If Zed engages, eat him alive. Possibly gank the other lanes while the enemy minions have space-aids so it pushes automatically.

Vs Fiddle jungle, any champ at all with some sort of soft or hard CC, or a dash will do. I other words, 95% of all champs out there counter fiddle.

i have a friend that builds Malzahar very... unorthodox, im constantly "suggesting" him to change it, but it's his main and he says it works, so here we go: he puts all his runes to cooldown reduction (+masteries getting 40% at lvl 18) starts buying item 1027 into item 3070 and then completes build with item 3003 item 1311 item 3116 item 3151 item 3089 item 3157 spells: summoner 13 summoner 4 then upgrades: E - Q - E - Q - E - R, etc. maxing E first and not getting W until lategame.

use your E to farm minions and get mana back, also, WARD your bushes

In a solo 1v1 situation Malzahar have the upper hand against a Zed.

When I am playing Jungle and when I have

Zed in my team against Malzahar Azir Viktor Lulu or Swain I usually turn ON my "Nasus friendly mode" so I gank his lane as much as I can to snowball him because you know...If you have ever played Zed against any of those, and if they are good enough you would know how painfull is that for a Zed player.

Malz should be playing it just like Zed, aka playing the harass game until they reach x% HP, then combo, ult+ignite

Bait his shadow out (even if it means tanking an E)

silence him

Eve comes in and ult

W and ult him

Eve E's and Q's him

Profit.

At least in an ideal situation.
