Fadedpf4 votesHis barrels have stupid ass scaling. They do more damage based of crit, ignore armor, deal extra damage to champions and apply a massive slow for 2 seconds. And this is only barely hitting all of the other strengths that gangplank has.

They also don't have any scaling the damage does is based off of how much damage you can do with an auto. So if you aren't fed well good luck :D Doing anything more then a 200 damage barrel at lvl like 12.

Calm your salt levels and notice his 60% armor ignoring barrel stat
Guy Fox Teemo2 votes45%, was nerfed. Thats also a base damage of 80, with no scaling other then how much you can do with an auto :) . So if you aren't buliding full glass cannon that 80 damage barrel plus your auto ain't gonna do much at lvl 18 :).

Fadedpf3 votesYou obviously havent seen a skilled gangplank set up his barrels out of your attack range or just set them up because you are a melee champion and you cant go up to disarm them. If done correctly which can be done quite often by a skilled gp player he can set up 3 barrels insanely fast to chunk you and there is barely anything you can do about it.

AmazingGoat1 votesThe problem was that he also gets bonus gold from farming and is really safe with oranges, so in competitive play he would go mid and farm up to 300 or 400 cs then go double IE for insane damage.

I actually think GP is worse, he ignores your armor, rewarded for building cooldown and crit, has a fast true damage dot, not even a dot really, split pushes like a monster and he can impact the map with his global ult. Pretty glad Riot is realizing this by nerfing his insane barrels.
