the issue with "flex que", what is a 4 man supposed to que with?

TLDR: DO NOT EVER TRY TO PUT ME IN A FLEX YOU WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND ANY PEOPLE FOR IT.

i absolutely love that solo/duo que is coming back. after i brought my self back up to silver (becuase every season promos it demotes me to bronze again) i boycotted ranked the rest of the season... and i am SOO happy that solo que is coming back!!!

but when i see flex que... i wonder..

sure when you have a 5 man thats fine. and a 3 man party MIGHT be able to find a 2 man party to pair with if that 2 man was a 3 man that just had a friend leave for some reason.

but even so..

i can think of ANY player who would CHOOSE to pick flex que as a SOLO player.

am i am pretty sure i speak for the vast majority.

i would NEVER consider doing flex que as a solo player. it is not only "dynamic que" again.. but it is the WORST situation you can get in dynamic que. as that premade team, can just flat out just to surrender with 4 votes. meaning EVERY game you have a potential for a 0% chance to win based solely on whether or not the "premade" chooses to surrender

so here is my poll.
and i want to make something VERY CLEAR RIOT.

They told us that they are completely separate queues. There have been people who have commented that they would queue solo in the flex-queue. Most people are groups of 3 so I don't think there's much to worry about.

yeah.. but a 3 cant que with a 3.. and if you only HAVE two, unless you frequnetly play with a 3+ and just want to rank up in flex que there would be no point in choosing "flex que duo" over "solo que duo"

but i feel it would be flat out impossible to find a solo player in flex que.. and i KNOW they said they wouldn't try to tap into solo que for solo players.. but i just want to make DAMN SURE they don't even CONSIDER going back on their word

They're making separate rewards too according to the announcement. I'm pretty sure they are also merging it with Summoner's rift ranked teams but don't quote me on that specific one. They're hoping people will want to queue in both that way.

I'm sure they more than know how solo players feel after this past year.

lol yeah well, unless they give me $100 in free RP every month i am in flex que... good luck with getting me to go near it.

hell i would support an client setting to remove "flex que" from the games list. just so i don't have to look at it and be reminded of season 6. (let alone the dreaded possibly i could accidentally click on it) shudder

Which is why they're separating them to begin with; to make both groups happy.

I plan on playing some Flex queue solo. Not going to try as hard as i do will in Solo Queue though and will probably use it exclusively to test to see if i should bring certain champions into Solo Queue or to work off rust

I intend to only play Flex queue, and if this season's anything to go off of, mostly solo. Teammates cooperating is something I can make good use of, and I think I can find that more frequently with premades.
