Maokai's Sapling Toss
Is there a reason the Saplings do not prioritize enemy Champions?
I'm legitimately curious, I do not know why they don't and would like to know if anybody could tell me.
Thanks!

I assume they have the same AI as Elise's venomous spiderlings. Probably meant to give you a chance to avoid it by minion blocking.
Don't Elise's Spiderlings prioritize her target? Mao's will literally aggro onto the nearest thing to them, even neutral monsters.
Her spiderlings do, but her human form W (Venomous Spiderling) does not -- though if she uses her spider form Q to bite the enemy, all spiderlings (including her human form W) will dive on the target.
Ah gotcha! Hmm still though i wonder why Mao's is the way it is, Minions don't really help block it as you can just be further away from it than Minions and not worry about its aggro.
So people can hide behind minions.
This is what i thought as well but even standing away from Minions it will still aggro to the nearest thing to it. You could be all alone to the side but if a Minion is like 1 unit closer to it, you are safe.
