Can we just buff ahri already
Shes so shit atm, no damage to kill anyone even with hitting every skillshot, feels so unrewarding to play her.
Its no wonder shes sub 50% wr atm.

would you trade the MS on her q for it?
Would you appreciate being blown the fuck up by a Q to remove that speed?

Yes.
Double her kit damage and remove her Q speed boost, and reduce her ult CD (since she'll be completely reliant on it for mobility again).
Theres just no reward to hitting your spells now, it doesnt matter that "shes safe" when she does 0 dmg and has low utility.
TBH i think that i would just simply gib the MS boost on Q and buff the damage on w and maybe a little to R to compensate TBH.
I would love fox fire to feel like a meaningful spell more than anything else TBH. The damage it deals feels so lackluster as a whole. Not to mention that the targeting system for it can be utter ass sometimes. I have landed a charm qed then popped fox fire while running at the enemy laner to have all three decided that the minions are a higher priority target than the guy i hit my e on.
Sure she would lose a ton of mobility, but then the whole decision on when to use her ult would become meaningful again. She is first and foremost a mage. Mages generally lack mobility to begin with and instead have things to compensate for it. These are usually strong CC and damage.
Then again i'll just play Zoe instead of Ahri come next month anyway because from looking at her preview, Zoe looks to do everything Ahri does but better.
Most likely if they ever make changes, W will be reworked entirely; that ability is 60% of their justification for all the changes, since there's no playing around it for either side (Push button for damage... maybe). If they buff it back to what it was, everyone will complain about LichTech builds again, same for R, but loading Q with all the damage they've removed over 2.5 years would make it disgustingly powerful. They could put the damage amp back on charm, but that would still be a substantial net loss compared to pre-5.2, especially since it now does more damage than W, but never benefited from its own damage amp.
Still, just about anything that gives her enough damage to reward getting into fighting range would be an improvement over the current situation.
If i remember right the Q MS increase is a really respectable portion of her power budget.
A W rework would be neat. Maybe they could make it a two part ability. A passive that generates fox fire while the active would throw them (one or all w/e balances better) as a skillshot. You can make them a shorter range than her Q to give incentive to kite as close as possible too. shrug
i dunno, i just haven't liked what she's had to trade to be this hyper mobile mage in her current incarnation. And i feel that she is way too safe currently to actually given damage to succeed in killing stuff.
You don't want to get me started on the power budget, did the math in another thread and estimated it at 8% of her win rate coming from the speed boost alone, meaning it is probably 16-20% of her power budget, since even a theoretical champ with no stats or abilities and one health would be above 0% win rate.
Pre-5.2, her winrate was near 52%. Since then every single nerf has resulted in a comparable win rate, depending on what site you check. She lost a 44% damage amp (DFG and Charm multiplied each other). Passive's base scaling was gutted during laning phase, its most relevant point. Q costs more mana at all levels. W had its range cut, to where you can autoattack some targets without any fires locking on, as well as a 16% drop in AP ratio and a reclassification of how Gunblade, OldNewRylai's, et cetera treat it, getting weaker scaling with every item. Charm has higher damage, but nowhere near as much as other abilities lost, even before using W twice in a combo or factoring in the amp, on top of not interrupting dashes, on top of which it has been severely bug-prone ever since that change, and still doesn't reliably move the target toward you. Her Ultimate got away with just reduced damage and range, discouraging any plays that involve staying in retaliation range.
All of these changes, and the only buffs to compensate them are increased damage on her single-target, dodgeable Crowd Control ability (which, again, now has more damage than W, whose sole purpose is doing damage at a less-safe range), and the Q speed boost. Yet her winrate is at the same point it was before, after adjusting for meta unpleasantness.
The worst part for me: every single change has actively lowered both her skill floor and ceiling. The balance team has lowered the reward for getting close to the enemy to trade, as well as her ability to recover health after doing so, and removed the reward for hitting a moving target with a skillshot, in favor of a speedboost that lets even the greenest of players outrun enemy abilities, and loading most of her remaining damage into her ranged abilities.
Yea i remember spending hours when i first played Ahri learning to hit enemy champs at range with my Q so both sides would hit them at once. It used to be thrilling when you landed that because of how safe it was if you did it JUST right. Now you can literally throw the ball and run to ensure it hits
I wholeheartedly agree that playing the champ before the speed changes she was an entirely different animal who had fairly clear high/low points (ult being up/down charm landing amping damage ect)
Now if i screw up by playing like i'm boosted I can just Q and run away, no need to ult really unless they're really really adamant and using abilities to actively chase me as hard as possible. But even then between Q and R Ahri is reasonably hard to actually catch.

I've wanted to make that trade since before 5.2 was released. Take the movespeed, increase R's cooldown, even make W have a cast time if you want, if it means Ahri can kill things like she used to.
Ahri used to be the safe and reliable mid pick, but in a meta where shutting down the enemy adc is a priority, she does struggle a bit.
After the Ardent nerfs she actually feels really good to play. I'm gonna hit D1 spamming her and TF in the next 2 days (D2 28 LP atm).
She won't get buffed anyways, thanks to all the players that keep saying 50% wr on her is fine, and not even understanding a single Point "we" Ahri mains trying to say. Her Solocarry potential was **** down a river, i rather play A ahri that has a 47% winrate because there is no Movementspeed anymore on her Q or she has less base health, but at the same time finally more damage. The old Ahri with the charm % dmg was the Perfect Ahri, it was so good, no one ever complained about her, she felt like you need to have Skill to do great on her, and not even enemy players had a big problem with her, because as i said again, if you win with Ahri it just means you were kind of the better mechanical Player back then. You can still Assassinate a adc today, if he is out of position, but your Poke is lackluster, Your damage is lackluster, and your Scalings are horrible. But we already know what riot did anyways with Ahri, they tried to delete everything that a great ahri Player could possibly abuse.
Remember that her charm could stop dashes mid air? Remember that? Yeah i do, why do i? Because i did alot of times, and this could have been gamechanging. But riot thoughts it needs to be removed, so they did. In the end her winrate didn't change at all because of it. But once again, something that actually can outplays enemys is now gone. Riot did a more or less good work when it comes down to balancing champs. But for ahri... they honestly did everything wrong on her. Btw for all the Players thinking she is a good champ.
There is a reason why this Ahri never shows up in lcs anymore, i saw the old ahri 10x times more often than this one, if not even 20xtimes more. I didnt even saw the "new" ahri when she had 55% + wr for 5months in lcs. ** She needs more Solo carryPotential, and a higher Skillcap again, so that good ahris will do great on her, and average Ahris/bad Ahris won't ever come close to a 50% winrate. **GO reset her kit already
What I would like to see happen is:
