Vlad vs Executioner's Calling feedback.

So I just played my first game as Vlad in patch 5.22, and while we did win, and I did do relatively well, it felt genuinely awful. One person, just one, got Executioner's Calling, but that was all it took. Every teamfight, every siege, every minor skirmish that Ezreal was involved in I had 40% less healing. For a while I did my best to dodge his Q (plus iceborn), but even that only delayed the inevitable undodgeable autoattack that would take me from short range heal tank mage to short range ccless medium damage dealer.

Now there's three things that made this a truly awful experience.

  1. The price. 800 gold to damn near nullify healing based champions.

  2. The fact that it was on any physical damage. His Q, his autos, his iceborn proc, there's no escaping that.

  3. The duration. FIVE SECONDS??? Don't you think that's a bit much? Especially considering Morello's is only 4 seconds and you've got to be under 40% health, and get hit by a spell for it to activate.

Anyways, that's my thoughts on it. Honestly I'm not even going to try Vlad again until something changes, whether it be his kit or this item.

I agree that the grievous wounds effect applied by executioners calling might be a little strong for being such a cheap item. It would be fine if EC had a weaker version of grievous wounds that became stronger on the item it built into. The only thing to consider would be that if you make the grievous wounds effect weaker on EC, it becomes less cost effective to buy it early game. (Not necessarily a bad thing).

I don't think I'm bias in regards to discussing grievous wounds, but I do main a somewhat sustain based champ (Irelia) so that might subconsciously being influencing my opinion lol.

Regardless, I do think the duration could be reduced for Grievous Wounds. All physical damage applies it, so it's not like it particularly needs the added duration to make it effective.

Personally I think they should make it an active and call it a day. It can keep it's price, it's duration, even its old effect if it was an active, but as a passive it's just always going to be too oppressive against heavy sustain champions. Think about a Gnar getting it top lane against you as Irelia. All those times you chill back and use your W or ult to heal off of a wave now is 40% less effective, health potions are now 40% less effective, lifesteal is now 40% less effective. Good luck dodging every boomerang and staying out of his autorange while trying to heal and farm minions.
