Aghhhhh......... 1 tricks

Ok I get it......You only want to play 1 out of the over 100 champs over and over and over and over again. But why do it in ranked especially when you see you got a role that absolutely makes no sense and you already see who the other team picked and know mostlikely who you will be in the lane phase against.

And before all the 1 tricks come in defending 1 tricks, this post was brought about by my past history in games with people who stated they are 1 tricks that ended up getting their secondary roles or a filled role and ended up making the game a bad experience for all on the team. For instance this 1 trick Rengar who got Mid and said he only plays Rengar.......seen the other team picked Lux and still went Rengar....then spent half the lane phase sitting in a dside bush waiting for Lux to get close enough so he could jump out of it on her...........but there was just 1 problem with that.......she was not utterly retarded so she never went close to the bush...she just kept spamming her abilities into the bush.......so he could not farm and was losing XP because he wasnt even near the minions.

I understand your obsession with a certain champ........but why do SOME of you refuse to use a back up when you see its clearly best for the team?

I've got skins for any mid laners I might use, so when I don't get Supp I might feed, but I'm going to do it in style.

Using one champ is fine, so long as you can adapt with that champ. Like I play mostly Annie, and I'm not the greatest player ever, but I build and play differently depending on what my team needs, and whether I'm taking Annie mid, top, support, or jungle.

Also there are some people who just only play ranked. They don't care about winning all the time, but they only play ranked. I'm not going to defend those people, but that's how they roll.

box box is a one trick riven, annie bot is a one trick annie player but they all play other champs when needed so i agree if you are going to be a one trick be one but dont ruin ranked for someone out of it.

because it's not best for the team. playing a champion you're super good at beats playing a "good" pick that you can't play. if you one-trick something it means you know your strengths and limitations of both your own champion, the team match up and the laning match up so you're able to play around those better.

Firstly LoL is a game where if you know your champ and your role as much as OTP - you can adapt to anything. Especially if champ you are maining capable of utilizing any build (Like a Teemo really). Secondly - me personally playing this very game only because it has Teemo in it. No other reason. If they delete Teemo I would quit. Quite simple. Thirdly - I'm competitive player. I want some phat social acceptance as a "pro" in what I'm doing (even if it's simply a game between nerds as myself). So I don't playing games if its not giving me something in return in a terms of achievement. LoL gives me achievements by climbing a ladder with a champion most of you hate (Teemo.jpeg)/ But that's mostly not because I'm masochistic and love when you flame me for this pic. Its generally cause I love Teemo so much I want play only him and nothing else. Despite your desire to see something else in my place with something else in my pick. And lastly - I don't really care what other people think in this game in a terms of picks. I am tolerant with anything (soraka jungle? be my guest) I'm waiting from a players to do their best most of the time, pity that most of them as you - think that if you pick something that in meta will win your game. I would personally suck at anything except Teemo and some other yordles that don't fit in meta and never was in it.

Eh, I'll play Diana anywhere except ADC(Not that I play her support very often.) But I'm more than happy to pick someone else when needed. An important part of 1-tricking is to play a flexible champ to begin with. You're not ALWAYS going to get the role you wanted.

And the nice thing about Diana is she has great matchups against some champs mid and top. Love my crazy moon lady.

But see that is the thing. Not all 1 tricks use a champ that can play multiple roles......or if they do, when they get a role that doesnt fit...they atill use their 1 trick champ. Like the Rengar I mentioned in my post.

Another example is a Master Yi 1 trick I got matched with. i was support and this person got ADC.....he went Master Yi adc. He was last pick.........he already seen the other team had Lucian and either a annie or Zyra support and he still locked in Master Yi. It ended up being Zyra support.

I main support, I play many different supports....but how was I supposed to support this? He couldnt even get near the minions to farm without getting poked to death within seconds. Even under turret he was getting poked.

i dotn have a problem with 1 tricks, its just the ones that refuse to have a back up champ for cases like this.

I totally agree, I wasn't trying to disagree with my post :) But yeah, last pick Yi ADC? In ranked I'd have dodged. In norms I'd have taken all of his farm(As support) and built to try to do what I could. But that's a brutal last pick either way. I love Diana supporting Yasuo ADC, but a Yi ADC sounds useless.
