How did Ekko ever pass the design phase?
Does Riot even have a review stage for champion design? I know PBE is simply designed for early skins ( They don't fix ANY bugs, and obviously don't listen to the PBE players ). Ekko's kit is atrocious. Don't you dare go to melee with him in levels 1 or 2. He can Q you face to face for 1 proc on his passive, AA you for the second, and you might as well forget about the CS you wanted to last hit, because if you want to hit it, you won't be able to dodge the huge Q on the way back. Boom, one small skirmish, you just lost half health. Ekko took maybe 1 auto.
What's up with Riots design policy of making all of these broken champions and simply nerfing them consecutively in the next 2 patches? The game has been out 5 damn years, are they not learning ANYTHING about balance and abilities? They re-work Ryze and he just becomes completely broken as well. Just seems Riot is taking 1 step forward and 3 steps back.
I'd love to get a reds response on how the design of a champion takes place. What is the process. How many people does it have to be OK'ed by to actually have the abilities and skills be implemented. Because at the moment it looking like you guys are getting drunk and joking about what the most OP champ would be like and making it happen.
