Brand or Vel'Koz vs tanks?

I feel like both are decent choices but I haven't played Vel'Koz almost at all.

Which would be better vs tanks? Vel'Koz has higher range and more CC. His ult. and true damage seem to shred through anything. I'm guessing he's a better teamfighter than Brand too for these reasons.

However, Brand does have a little % HP damage on his abilities and 3-stacks hurt quite a bit. I see more people get low from his damage due to his ult. bounces but rarely actually die.

Vs a very tanky comp., who is usually more effective?

Neither because if the tank is Galio...they are screwed XD

If Brand can get a good combo off, he's propably one of the most dangerous champions in the game. The thing is that he most likely won't get a good combo off. Vel'Koz has an easier time getting his combo out, and is long ranged, BUT is also very fragile.

I'd say Brand has the potential to do more than Vel'koz, but Vel'koz gets his damage off more reliably. I don't play either of them very much, but thats how I see it

I'd actually expect Galio to lose to Vel'Koz hard. He gets massively outranged and Vel'Koz has true damage too. He can even interrupt Galio's ul. with E quite easily.

Actually, I just looked it up and Vel'Koz performs 8.8% better vs Galio than average @Gold+.

Vel can't interrupt Galio's ult if he's caught in it XD.. Also...He has true damage only on his ult...Galio's usually go Gale, flash, ult to snag unsuspecting targets like Vel...then proceed to Q or auto them to death, all while having their shield up.

Vel'Koz shouldn't be anywhere near Galio - not even if Galio flashes. Also, Vel'Koz needs 3 stacks for true damage (not always easy) but I don't think it's only on his ult.

I think Galio is a bad pick into him and is more for Melee APs like Akali or Kat.
