The solution to assassins isn't beefier tanks, its supports that can protect.

Give supports more tools to protect ADC's / APC's such as granted spell shields on an active item with a cooldown. There are items that reduce damage taken / transfer. But simple solution are to buff the real support classes, You know the guys with CC and utility that don't have crazy damage you bring just to one shot a carry.

All these support mages are flooding the bot lane and really aren't helping the problem. The problem isn't damage creep, its the ability to negate it without just killing the other person.

Assassins aren't a problem to begin with

Support itemization is strong as fuck right now. What are you talking about? It's just people choose to play mage supports full AP instead of these items.

Pick the right supports. Heck, your top/mid laner can do it too. Any champion who can grant invincibility or has on target cc like a snare can save their carries.

Taric Lulu Nautilus TahmKench : Supports who deny / lock down assassins Kayle Maokai Lissandra: laners who deny / lock down assassins Kindred : Oh hey, even your jungler can thwart assassins

If your regular supports aren't able to save the adc from assassins, then pick someone like lulu or nautilus when you see one on the enemy team. That Khazix will HATE the lissandra who ults them every time they dive.

ADC's are designed to be late game powerhouses. but the problem is that they are too slow to gain a power spike and that makes it easy for people to deny them a chance to farm and snowball themselves unless they are the ones like Jhin or Draven that rely on a mid-game power spike.

No. When we already have a support that is the absolute embodiment of frustratingly good peel (Janna), on top of all of the new healing and shield boosting items that just got crapped into the game this preseason, I don't think supports need more options.
