TBH i didn't think ivern was going to be this strong...
but after facing a couple mediocre iverns i realized this champion has an insane amount of utility. He is incredibly powerful as long as he has a team to follo up.

Well he is a utility champ.
His team just has to bring the damage.
so basically useless in low elo but godly in high elo. because from what i learned don't depend on your team to follow up because 99/100 they wont
Why are you surprised, I had animus going in 2v4 expecting me, the kha'zix mid to follow up... I have no aoe damage....
i think hes really good lol
I think he seems good because no one knows how to cripple him yet. I've played him a good couple games now and the hard counter to him is strong 1v1 junglers who just invade. He does very low damage alone. I predict that once people start just walking over to either kill him or take his marked camps it's going to make him feel very weak.
I lost a 1v1 to a warwick, both of us full hp, he was lv6 and I was lv8. We both used ult, and I hit the root and shield on myself every cooldown. It wasn't even close. My only option was to slow or root him and run away, which is easy to do, but then they might be taking your camps
The only truly broken thing he seems to be able to do is steal red and then gank mid at full hp, red buff, lv2, opponent is lv1.
People won't even need to change up the usual junglers either

He does do quite a bit of damage on his own with the help of his his bush empowered AAs and Daisy. Granted it's a lot of damage for a tank, but still.
Actually he's not considered a tank. Primary: Support Secondary: Mage
Riot mentioned he can be played as a tank in his Q&A. Honestly it does make sense to have extra health anyway since he is sacrificing health when he frees a camp. Besides, with how a lot of AP items come with health nowadays, it's much easier to build a tanky AP champ.
Daisy is so hard to deal with imo
Try playing Sion vs a team with Ivern in it. That satisfaction when you kill an enemy by flinging Daisy at them using your E [zombie-nunu-hearts]
He's crazy strong. He has a pet stronger than Tibbers. He has a damage+root on 12sec cooldown that has high scalings (+70% AP) and allows allies to dash to aa range of the rooted enemy (which is safer than if it actually dashed them to the enemy). He has a huge shield with 8 sec cooldown (!) that also explodes for AOE damage, with high scalings (80%/70% AP). And that's without even looking at all the bushes nonsense.
His shield is stronger than Janna's (higher scaling, lower cooldown), for example, and deals high aoe damage.
The Iverns I have played were pure crap and they were still a problem, it is scary to think what a player who is actually good with him can do.
How much of that was power was in his brush ability? Do you think it contributes enough, or is it just that his Q E and R are incredibly powerful?
Agreed, Ivern has a lot of power that's conveyed very clearly throughout his abilities, and even though he has a ton of mastery potential, his relatively uncomplicated abilities means he can be picked up decently quickly. I suspect he might get nerfed in a few weeks, and I think his E slow, which is currently 70% for 3 seconds at all ranks, might have its slow strength and/or duration reduced, at least at lower ranks.
Said no one ever.
