Quinn as ADC

So I've been giving her a shot and I like the results. Of the 4 games I've played, it really seems like she's reliant on a Support with a clue. But assuming they aren't a completely clueless person, she offers some great options. My main questions are this:

  1. What are the big concerns with her being ADC? her range?

  2. She seems weakest against other mobile champs. I personally had a hell of a time against Trist. (This was, however, in a game with a support I'm pretty sure had never played Leona before)

  3. I'm seeing a lot of Lux support that, with the AP changes, can put a hurt on people. Because of this, do any of you Quinns take item 3111 over item 3006 ???

As an adc her E is pretty unreliable, you have to get into the enemy team to use it which may put you in a bad spot.

Ehm. I used to play a lot of Quinn, and I've supported a few Quinns, so I think I can answer these sorta.

  1. Her range is only a problem against aggresive, divey, fighter lanes, like Leo/Lucian or Ali/Kali. Her poke option is really not enough to play in the poke style, so I've often found myself not doing well in those lanes. While that dive thing is Quinn's style, she's not as strong as other straight ADCs in that capacity, at least at range. Post 6 can be quite different. Bird bomb the hell out of them.

  2. The best solution to mobile enemies is a dive buddy. Someone who can jump in with you when you ult and take them out after they jump, and support you as you regroup with your team.

  3. I actually can't answer this one too well, I've never played into Lux support as/with Quinn. I would say it depends on your composition and support.

She's not bad at all in lane, her main problem is lategame teamfights. You typically want your ADC to be able to put out sustained ranged damage, and it helps if they have a game changing ult, Like Jinx's, or Tristana's, Twitch's etc. Her ult is very bad in teamfights and her auto-attacking range is low. So she has to get in closer than she'd really want to, and can't really do anything once she gets there besides regular auto attacking. That's the main gripe on Quinn as an ADC.

Quinn's primary strength is that she has almost everything she needs in her kit to sustain herself. She has movement speed buffs combined with her passive on her W, a handy escape that puts you a set distance from the enemy, and a blind to fight back against autoattackers. The main problem with her is her ult, because it forces you to get into melee range where ADCs are at their most vulnerable, and unlike Jayce she doesn't have the same degree of menace while Valor takes the stage. It's a great way to duel, chase enemies and claim objectives, but it's terrible in teamfights.

Am I wrong to think, though, that she'd be good (in a team fight setting) at getting in and taking out the enemy ADC?

She's a bit like an assassin in that she specializes in dashing in quickly and taking out weakened or fragile targets (her ult's damage scales based on the enemy's missing health), but the problem with THAT in turn is she is suddenly in the middle of the fight and would have to vault or flash out of there to save herself, since EVERYONE is going to turn on her. It's just not ideal for teamfights.
