So why does teleport fail when i use it on the same minion, turret as my teamate at the same time???

So i had teleport so did another teamate of mine, there was a big fight and we he put telepot on a minion, like half second later, i put the teleport on the same minion while his teleport was still active, that resulted into my teleport failing.... His teleport worked. We lost that fight because of that which is stupid.

I have had similar experience when i tried to to teleport to the same turret as my teamate.

Since then i haven't done that again but i wanted to know if it is a bug, or if it is made that way on purpose.

I personally think that if it is on purpose, it should be changed, i hate seeing my tp going on cooldown while failing just like that and losing a teamfight.

I also want to mention that intentionally canceled teleports should have half the cooldown as it was never used. Kinda like pantheons canceled ult that goes on small cooldown.
