Singed/Teemo new resource bar: Poison (green)

Instead of mana, there new resource will be poison.

How it works, you ask [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

They have a finite amount of poison when they leave base and they have to recall to refresh. They'll also have special poison items in shop like Viktor Gangplank that buff their poison, allies and debuffs enemies.

Poison being a new resource will open the door for future champs as well [slayer-jinx-wink]

I'd have to say it doesn't quite work for teemo as much as it might work for singed.

Not to mention is a HUGE nerf to singed as it forces him to leave lane for more poison. This would mean you want his Q to ONLY have the resource of poison while his mana pool suffers.

Singed would have to be buffed to compensate for this nerf... out of all his moves which one do you think Riot would buff?

here's a hint:** THEY'D BUFF HIS Q**

His Q damage can already get really high but with this buff/nerf you'd change singed(and teemo by extention) to a point at which

having a finite amount of something = justifying it being OP in some way/shape/form

I'm not even gonna talk about how Teemo would be buffed because I already explained how singed's Q the ONE MOVE he would be using for this "poison" meter would become overpowered due to damage buffs.

-up to this point I've assumed you meant poison would be going along with mana similar to Jhin or Annie's passive bar the next few sentences talks about if it replaces mana entirely-

Singed builds mana to become tanky... so if you take away his mana then his passive will need to be changed Which means more work for riot on the coding end.

Teemo needs his high mana costs to balance him out.

Without mana costs teemo's shrooms which are already annoying would be intolerable.

Not to mention singed and teemo would become inherently stronger the more towers were lost thanks to base being closer.

Overall the poison resource wouldn't work for singed and Teemo.

Maybe if a new champion was made out of a poisonous gas or was like "Muk" from pokemon as a toxic living gelatin.

The finite "poison resource" bar just not worth it to make.

Agreed that for Singed and Teemo specifically, this wouldn't be a great system. My concern for Teemo is actually more is E than his shrooms, though. The poison part of the damage on his autos is such an integral part of the autos themselves, that being able to basically run out of auto-attack damage would feel horrible.

I feel like the one champion where I can see such a system possibly working would be Twitch. And it could be set up that when he kills units that are poisoned, he gets back some of that poison resource (basically means taking minions would have a small hit to his poison, but using it to poke in lane would slowly use it up). Perhaps the poison return could somehow revolve around using the E as well? Or some combination there.

I feel like it'd be doable with Twitch and his kit, while avoiding the pitfalls of something like Teemo where you'd suddenly feel like you have a limited amount of auto-attacks you can use before having to refill on poison. That said, is it worth it? Probably not. Thematically it seems kinda cool, but it seems like quite a lot of work to set up and balance properly, while not feeling overly complex or forced.

it sounds interesting making poison an finite rechargable source. The shop could also introduce poison pots. This might also make people like teemo healthier if done right. +1 from me :)

I think it should very slowly replenish over time (slower than mana) and every time a unit dies you get some poison back (increased on Champion/Large and Epic monster kills).
