When I first started League back in S2 and for a few following years, Kassadin was in almost all of my games or was banned. I never did use Kassadin, so I don't know much about him, but after going over my next set of champions to purchase, I saw Kassadin and realized... I literally haven't seen him in a single of one my games in a over a year to present.

Did he get reworked or just nerfed to hell? Everybody's favorite mid lane assassins were , I still see plenty of the 3 latter, but no Kassadin?

I'm actually thinking about buying him, just because it feels weird not to see him in any of my games.

Any players more experienced with Kassadin want to bring me up to speed?

ps I already know the silence was removed, is that the reason everybody stopped playing him?

He got a mini rework which lowered his Q's damage by 15 at max rank, removed the silence in favour of a shield that shields 160 + 30% AP rank 5, his W now passively does 20 + 10% AP on each auto and empowers to 140 + 70% AP on the active for 1 auto. His E is the same shit with much lower base damage, about 60 I believe, the ratio was untouched at 70%, and the slow was changed from 50% for 3 seconds to 90% for 1 second at rank 5. Ultimate was nerfed pretty hard. Range went down from 700 =>500 and now scales with both AP and Mana but the AP ratio is a lot lower. 20% at base stack increasing by 10% each stack.

So in comparison:

Old Q: 80/110/140/170/200 + 70% AP + 2 Second Silence New Q: 65/95/115/155/185 + 70% AP + 160 + 30% AP Magic Damage Shield + Interrupts channels e.g. Katarina Death Lotus.

Old W: Passive: 8/11/14/17/20 Mana per auto attack Active:30/45/60/75/90 + 30% AP per auto attack for 4 or 5 seconds ( not sure) New W: Passive: 20 + 10% AP magic damage per auto attack Active : 40/65/90/115/140 + 70 % AP Magic damage for 1 auto attack

restore 4/5/6/7/8% of missing mana quintupled when hitting a champion

Old E: 80/120/160/200/240 + 70% AP New E: 80/105/130/155/180 + 70% AP

Old R: 80/100/120 + 80% AP increasing by 50/55/60 + 10% AP per stack, max 10, half mana cost refunded on hitting champion New R: 80/100/120 + 2% of Max mana + 20% AP increasing by 40/50/60 + 1% max mana + 10% AP per stack.

He can still be played however isn't as powerful as he once was.

He's good into champs like Syndra, Lux, Ziggs once you hit 6. All of these champs are meta RN and I'm surprised I don't see Kass played more tbh.
