I don't support, but I do ward, and I buy pinks to keep my lane as gank free as possible.
That said, the support is not a filler for players to instantly play their favorite AP carry down in bot lane, never buy a gold income item, never buy wards, and to run around trying to kill enemies solo with the mindset "NOBODY CAN CARRY BUT ME!"
You can choose any two roles you like. If you don't want to SUPPORT then DO NOT PICK IT!

It doesn't change the fact that you might have a 7-20 minute queue time while waiting on the next support to queue up..... All two of us.
