How to give Crit Marksman a bit of a nudge.

There is one thing in common that they all build... item 3031 Now the changes to IE regarding double Crit and True Damage have been pretty controversial. However there IS some good in the rework. They are more lategame now.

However There still is the issue of ADCs getting murdered early. So what is my fix?

Just giving them access to better stats early. The new build path for IE is painful as hell. I think they WANTED IE to be the item 3089 for marksman only the difference is IE is needed in every kit for marksman, while Rabadons is just nice on champions with good scaling. AND even if you wanted it first you get 100% of the item when you buy it unlike IE.

So just partially revert the buildpath to IE item 1038 item 1037 item 1036 and crit marksman would have more options for items early than just item 1038 item 3086 or item 1042 Meaning if you dont have at least 1200g, you might as well just go back to lane.

Another possibility is to revert the crit values. Double crit on all ADCs is alright but it kind of has this weird dynamic, as well as makes it rougher for any champ who likes picking up IE first (It wasnt optimal most of the time, but if you have the gold you bet your ass a whole item 3031 feels better than item 3085 ) However you actually CANT do that anymore as the only benefit you get is the AD. Then you can also trade item 1036 out for item 1051 in the build path as well.

Anyway just my idea on how to bring the struggling Crit Marksman back a little bit without completely busting them.

Just give them true dmg,. The crit system favors AD where AD can be hurt early, instead of getting crit chance adcs can get a true damage chance, instead of doing 200x your ad it would make your ad 100x true damage instead. Same could be done on mages thus it would allow variety. But I doubt anyone cares..

Crit marksmen are "struggling" because their itemization was nerfed slightly to make them less powerful in the early game and just as powerful in the late game. The reason marksmen "feel bad" right now is because their itemization got about 300g added to every item, delaying their power spikes to the same cost as everyone else. Theyre balanced in a way they werent before, and it bothers marksmen mains who have gotten used to dominating or being dominated by 15 minutes.

Did you know the difference between old IE and new IE is negligible? Its around 20 less damage per 100AD - At 300AD youre looking at 750 vs 600+90. Thats a 60 damage difference, with 90 of the new IE being true damage. Because its true damage im halfway sure that once you take armor into account youre going to be doing roughly the same damage on squishies and more damage on tanks. But as i said above, the IE nerf wasnt really intended to BE a nerf, just a redistribution of power to make marksmen less powerful in the early game.
