Ashe Needs a Better Starting Item

is just such a shit first item for her its just so bad compared to everyone else who starts it.

I rush either item 3085 or item 3087 on her and have rather good results from it.

item 3087 - Opening burst, mild farming boost, fairly cheap, flows into later build.

item 3085 - Large farming boost, flows seamlessly into almost any Ashe build.

It's a good item because of the on hit effect giving a really good boost to damage. She'll then buy Runaans and the 2 bolts from Runaans will apply her slow and the on hit effect of BotRK. It also speeds her up because the active steals movement speed, making her more mobile.

The problem is, she was firmly in the gutter, and the only reason she's kind of back is because the BotRK cost was reduced.

She can't go BF into full crit anymore because it gives barely any sustain and it's so expensive to get started with.

I feel like crit should be made viable for her again, but it's hard to do without indirectly buffing other on hit champs like kai'sa/vayne with their passive/silver bolts. Ashe just takes the L atm, hopefully they bring crit ashe back. I kind of hate the on hit-crit hybrid.

ok its not A TERRIBLE item but old item 3508 was WAYYYYYYY better and i actually did damage wish they would just revert it I just dont feel strong what so ever when i buy bork on ashe compared to everyone else

Honestly I agree. I do not like Blade of the Ruined King period. I wish they would bring back the old Madred's Bloodrazor (or something similar to it). Buff BORK rito pls.

i dunno i quite like running bork conqueror on ashe, its so hard for people to build against especially when your q kicks in she just shreds anyone and everyone, plus she has a very good lane phase and the bork/cutlass active and life steal feel very useful imo

The usefulness of the item isn't the issue the issue is that I do no damage compared to everyone who builds it Vayne Twitch KogMaw Because they actually have better ways of doing damage ( vayne W kog W Twitch passive )they can use in the early levels Ashe needs crit chance to do damage Bork does not give crit chance therefore she can't do damage until she does

shes not ment to be a high dmg after one item kind of adc, ashe has a lot of power in her utility and cc, she gets perfectly decent dmg with bork and they recently gave her a really good buff to her passive slow to compensate for having to rush bork. i think she does need a bit of dmg buffs to bring her fully in line with the meta but she works well as what she is, a niche adc

She did fine when she could buy item 3508 and item 3031 Ashe can do damage she's actually not even a weak laner but when you buy item 3153 you set yourself back because you can't buy anything else nor do I think she's a niche adc I can't think of a team comp Ashe isn't good in its more on what the enemy team picks more than anything. No adc is ment to have high damage after one item unless it's Draven Lucian or Jhin

Sivir is one of the Adcs that are more for utility than damage but she can spike at one item because she can build item 3095

Ashe had 3 starting items before crit changes

item 3508 was the ideal first item really good to maximize your utility by having low CDs and mana sustain while still doing respectable damage

item 3031 if you were snowballing pretty hard or just even more damage

item 3153 is what you would go if you had either a hard matchup or you got shit on early

My point is Bork sets you back in terms of power

For example: let's say you kill a Caitlyn or a Tristana twice in lane ( you are 2 0 they are 0 2 ) you naturally buy item 3153 and they will have a item 3095 because it's a much cheaper item guess who does damage. Not Ashe regardless of Ashe getting 2 kills and a huge gold lead it doesn't matter because she set herself back from that lead because she bought Because it's the only thing she can buy. But if she had old item 3508 not a chance she doesn't win from that point on.

You see the point I'm making here? It's not a terrible starting item but it's not good either and being her only option is what makes her really weak

i dont like that its her only starting item ya, but i disagree with it setting her back in power because personally shes my goto adc and by far the most fun in the game, with bork her raw dps is a lot better than trist or caits and her cc can easily prevent them from even trying to fight her 1 on 1 the issue imo is just the meta rn not being kind to scaling adcs especially not immobile ones especially not the support meta with thresh and ali running around every game. yes she could be better if she had a more lead pushing early item but bork can still push a lead pretty hard if you have a aggressive support, supports being the deciding factor bot lane as a whole anyway

It sets her back because before she would buy item 3508 before the change which gave WAY more usefulness to her than bork ever could. It sets her back because she isnt a weak laner and buying bork essentially means you want to scale. Ashe used to shine pretty well in the mid game when she bought but she doesnt really now because she buys item 3153 . As far as DPS goes yes Ashe is better at that but isnt really that much better until way later in the game. in the 1v1 scenario it didnt use to be me forced to play like a bitch before I would have item 3508 and i could actually kill people. Im aware the crit changes really fucked her over but if im being honest if they just reverted I can bet money she would be one of the higher end ADCs because of that alone.

i agree her mid game is lacking, but i disagree on the 1v1 front if you can kite well shes a insane duelist with bork because of the active and shes one of the only adcs i found can actually turn the tables on an assassin in a 1v1, i also think its nice that she has much better options when it comes to itemization than other adcs because of her raw dps and safety, it might just be personal but id rush bork either way because i just love the item and its really good on her if you take conqueror imo

Well then I'd say it's more conq that Bork conq gives you a massive advantage over ur opponent who doesn't have it but if you have lethal or press odds are you will lose because Bork itself does no damage unless it's a tank
