The Mage vs ADC circle jerk

I will write this post from the perspective of a gold + bellow player. But still this means 90% of the player base. 90 freaking percent.

A bunch of mages are super strong and mana on them is a joke. A good mage will out scale the bot on CS and inflict a great pressure when paired with either top or jungler on an lane.

Mages like Maltz, Brand, Veigar, Cassio or others are a pain to gank. I would prefer ganking 2 Yasuos than a Brand. All these mages are better picks than any assasin and they can protect the ADC better because of their CC. They also provide tons of damage making them easier target for peel. You win lane and go bot and put pressure on that lane like neither non mage top, jungler, mid can do.

Are there mages that struggle? Yes. But that's another topic and riot needs to buff likes of Syndra, Liss, etc

Another bonus is defensive itemization. If I'm a tanky diver, fighter, etc I need to build armor because every game has an ADC. Building MR takes up an item slot and against a Brand for example, is mandatory else I die in 1 freaking R.

Is the game centered on bot lane? Yes, this needs to be tweaked, but this is another story.

Veigar needs a nerf, the fact that he can sit under tower all game and still end up one shotting someone is unfair. there's legit nothing you can do about it either. he just runs away until he stuns someone, presses w and if that doesn't kill you, his ult will.

I love that you included malz in your list! I'm part of your 90%, a malz main, and have seen him get dicked all season because Crown learnt to play him for when his taliyah got banned. Some mages are still fine (until the next lot of nerfs) but please remove malz from your list. He is immobile, his full ult combo does 40% damage to squishy targets at level 6 and then he's useless again beyond pushing waves. People have actually taken to building roa, archangels and tank just to live through using ult in teamfights (i even saw someone use electrocute with this to try and gain some kill pressure (Kill pressure: the thing that most mid laners get at level 2-3 and malz gets to wait until 6 and then loses it when his jg turns up or he roams, then gets it back again every 120 seconds). Cassipo is squishy as all hell, veigar i agree is a pain in the ass but that's just his scaling forever bullshit that allows him to build tank lategame and still have over 1k ap. Brand is annoying yes, but again like cassio he is squishy, just wait for him to w e the wave then go in, he can't stun you and should be an easy kill (remember jg is all about timing).

I had the luck/unluck to play with/against some great maltz. Man, they push so hard and you can't stop them at 1v1.

But I won't argue with you, you might be right, the list was anyway made in a hurry.

As for Cassio, sure is squishy but good luck getting to her if you're not an assasin, even as diver

Oh God yeah malz can push a wave. It's all he can do and requires you to not aa his voidlings but he can push waves.

Ah how surprising to see someone not fuming with rage because riot are fixing problem Y but not problem X at the same time....even tho solutions to problem X are already in the works O_o

But i must say i agree, the times i do play melee i am always positively terrified of the champs you mentioned...except curently malz, but it feels like diving on them is a guarenteed loss of 80% health before i even get close....all while trying desperately to catch up through their self peel.-

Heck building health rarely helps between their insane scalings or "specialties" like Brand´s max health damage, and only a tank can afford to get enough magic resistance to really endure any more than 2 rotations......rotations that rarely have much cooldown post a point.

I know for a fact that Brand only has 6-7 seconds between his full chains meaning he gets a metric shit ton of max health damage done constantly......how is a non tank melee ever supposed to survive this?

This kinda thing is why i feel melee is such a uphill struggle most of the time.

That or you try to push without Baron and realize that enemy mage is never going to let you get near the tower with minions left, post 1 item.

This is a issue that they tried curbing all the way back in season 4 by buffing Baron into the prototype of the current one, but like Riot i think it wasnt really good enough, why attach the condition of having to take baron in order to push against a mage? Why is it alright for them to just go on max range, hit a few abilities then recall and walk back before the next wave arrives?

It only creates a very slow and boring gameplay of stalling and constantly jumping eachother for Baron.......i honestly hope that with these nerfs there can be buffs to encourage interactions and fighting a bit^^

Well that and that the mages who didnt really need nerfs get help......those were a bunch of low blows but it kinda makes sense because if optimal option X gets nerfed then "alright" option Y is chosen, so those nerfs might have been intended to skip that process.

I see your words but you are arguing with nothing atm(or more accurate to say creating a false argument). No one is saying that mages not worrying about mana is not an issue. What everyone is saying is nerf bot lane first because they need the mana to be somewhat functional right now. Remove the need for the mana then remove the mana is what we are saying, why is this so hard to understand.
