Can people start acting like a power budget exists?

Garen's armor pen isn't "free". He pays no gold for it, but the money comes from his power budget. Yeah Lissandra could use a real passive, but does her power budget allow for her to have a cool, powerful passive?

The point is that the amount of power a champion has needs to be managed, and all of the abilities on a champion get a certain amount of that power. A power budget is distributed differently. Nautilus' passive is considerably more powerful than Morgana's, but can you really say that morgana is worse off for a worse passive? No, it's because her other abilities have a lot more power.

If a champion is OP they need power taken out of their kit, if a champion is under powered then they need power added into their kit. Stop saying X ability is OP if the rest of the abilities are weaker for it. Stop saying X ability is weak because the other abilities compensate. (in theory anyway. With riot's power balancing shit can really get out of hand)

The way you put it, you make it sound as if there's a some kind of feasible limit on what can be added to a champion's kit, and although it's very true that champions numbers are based on the capabilities or potential of said abilities, speaking about power budget is really arbitrary as there really is no set parameter to speak of.

Late game naut's passive roots for what 1.5 seconds and a more q will heal her for like 500 hp every 6 seconds (if she builds right) I would say morgs passive is better provided more can land her q

The kind of people that make those comments aren't going to read this anyway (if they even read at all). You're more or less preaching to the choir.

Riot has a nasty habit of keeping ~5 champs broken tier, ~20 champs much stronger than the rest, keeping another ~50 viable, while leaving the remainder in the dumpster.

This trend seems even stronger these days than it used to be.

Unless you just spam whatever is FoTM, this often makes the game annoying to play at best, and frustrating and downright un-fun at worst.
