Early season matchmaking is shit. Been laning against D1 players in D5 promos.

It'll get better later on in the season. That is if you haven't quit by then. Cya in 8 months.

Sometimes, especially at the start of a season,

1. when the matchmaking algorithm kicks in, and
2. if you are in a bracket which has a lower proportion of the population of players (e.g., Platinum, Diamond, Master, Challenger),

then you have to realize that are going to get games like these. If you are "lucky" enough to be good, then the possibility of getting paired with players of similar skill is reduced by sheer numbers of players present at the time. (Keep in mind that this is more common at the start of a season, anyhow.)

It's either a game like that - or waiting for another hour for a game to start (with a potential dodge) and another hour to play. Alternatively, you could be dealing with the Oceania situation and can only play ranked at certain times of the day.

Consider what the consequences could be if you got your wish...there's only so many players you can play against...

That's just a bunch of Diamond+ players vs. a bunch of Diamond+ players who haven't grinded enough games to get back to their deserved rank yet. Rank is misleading, especially at the start of the Season. That 0/8/4 Caitlyn on your team, for instance, was Challenger last season. She's not 0/8/4 because she's Plat and matchmaking sucks; she just got wrecked in lane and probably tilted. Shit happens.

Trying not to be salty about this post, but imo this belongs in Memes and Games, because you cannot be seriously blaming matchmaking for that game.

Gratz on getting to D3, though. Keep it up, and don't tilt like that Caitlyn.

TBH IDK whis this happens. It happens in Gold to.. We ran into a team of diamonds and 1 masters... we were golds and silvers? how is that even fair match making and Their MMR was 2times higher then ours?

Man the boards are ironic, I make a comment showing that these are uneven teams but people say 'its the mmr that matters' and when you look at the mmr its still vastly different. While that post is below threshold, this one goes up and up!

The boards are full of two types of people. One who recognizes the system is a coin flip and the other who blindly thinks everything is spunky doodle ok!

This might not matter because it was an ARAM, but I had a team with 2 Golds and 3 Unrankeds vs. a team with 1 Master, 3 plats, and a silver. Felt like a glitch in the matrix having a Master 1 player in one of my games.

I remember when I had been playing this game for a year and I was matched against 2 LSC players in my normal game (it was elementz and someone else I cant recall).

I just afk'd right from the start so I could move on to a game I might be able to win.
