I was hoping, like most players, this was an April Fool's Day joke by Riot in saying they were going to implement this. And I still had my hopes up when they made us think we were playing against bots when were fighting players.
Damn it all.
Shall we do some Math?
Lux naturally has her ult less than a minute cool down without any cool down reduction (at rank three). 80/65/50. At 45% cool down reduction, the max a champion can get, her 50 second (rank three) goes down to 27.5 seconds. She gets a kill, reduces the cool down by 50% an goes down to.... 13.75 seconds.
13.75 cool down on an ult that isn't Diana, Kass or something but an Actual, offensive, powerful ult.
13.75 seconds.
Late game terror anyone?
I think my math holds up. This is simple times by a percentage. I do not know anything of Riots formulas but I think it is straight forward.
That implies you're going to kill someone
and most of the time late-game you're not getting a kill with her ulti because the frontliners are protecting the backline well enough and have Guardian Angels or they have Redemption and Locket and assloads of shielding or you use the ult since people are lining up properly and can hit 5 men with it.
It's just not a well thought out change that buffs her mostly for low elo, the exact opposite of the level of play Riot was buffing her for.
