Mirror Draft

It happens all the time: The enemy chooses the super overpowered champion that you also know how to play, but you don't get to win because they got to choose first. (Not pointing any shadowy fingers )

I don't entirely understand the reasoning behind prohibiting mirror matches. Wouldn't a mirror match be the SUREST way to prove the team who won deserved the win?

Sure, I get that picking a counter is supposed to be some big part of draft pick but why should you have to play a counter when you're better with the same champion? There's no good reason one better Zed player should lose to the enemy Zed just they got stuck with a weaker champ.

(Going to also state that from the very beginning I've thought that ranked should have a set list of champions required to play in each rank, to actually be a test of skill and not just a test of "who got the stronger champion first.")

Opinions? Thoughts?
