Sona needs be impactful early.

She can have a bad early game, but it's insane that you can have a champion (any champion) be at level 9-10 and still feel slow and cumbersome like a level 1-3 champion. A support shouldn't need 45%+ CDR to effect the game; a support shouldn't need a bunch of AP for their spells to matter; A support (hell ANYONE) shouldn't have a kit that only starts getting "good" around level 11; But most of all a support shouldn't need ALL of those things to be more then a walking ward and ultimate.

The issue isn't her late game. EVERYONE knows she is a force to be reckoned with in the late game.

And it's not a request to have her early game be strong as well. It's me pointing out that she has an unnaturally long period of being weak compared to other "mid to late game supports"

As i said in my other response, i'm hoping the ADC changes in the pipeline change this. The hope is that it slows the game down so there is less time that sona is "unnaturally weak" but it also doesn't let her snowball out of control super early.

IMO the biggest problem with her is you get almost nothing for levelling the E. 1% more movement speed per rank. It's actually pathetic. I would suggest bumping it up to at least 3% per level, and maybe make the out of combat duration scale with level as well.

pros have said many times once she is past laning phase she is the best support in the game. Do you think riots gonna believe you over them. Dont waste your time.

and yet i can't say that i see her getting much (if any) play in the tournament scene.

I know she is REALLY good late game (67% CDR will do that), but it feels like as things currently stand she takes too long to get there. I'm hoping the changes to ADC's that is in the pipeline will slow games down a bit. In theory that should lessen the time that Sona is so much weaker then other supports without increasing her time being super strong.

im sorry but there have been metas where games lasted above 40 minutes consistently and riot changed things rapidly everytime.

I also dont understand what you are trying to say about her not being seen in competitive. If there is ever a meta where can afk farm and not get killed 100% of the time then she will be played. It has happened before.

However it isnt healthy for the game. If sona was to be healthy then shed need a rework. a free late game hyper carry at no cost of laning sounds awful

Let's use the item 3504 worlds meta as an example. Sona was the champion that could break that item the most, what with her ability to trigger it on the whole team constantly. Yet she didn't really see play, instead we saw a lot of Janna or Lulu . both champion that could abuse the power of the item but no where near to the level that Sona could.

Let's break down what "the laning phase" means real quick here. Around what time frame, or level of champions, would you consider the lane phase to run? At what point would you say it usually ends? I'm fine with Sona not having a great level 1-5 game, i'm kind of ok with her not have a great level 5-7 game, but i'm starting to call bullshit when i'm level 10 have 35%+ CDR and still am barely effecting the game (outside of my ultimate).

ill agree with you butlet me first say the ardent censor meta was admittedly really bad for the game, said by riot employees onn beyond the rift
