I would rather play dumpstered old Ryze than dumpstered current Ryze
with old Ryze I could have a fighting chance at 1v9ing the game but with current 3 ability Ryze I just walk around rooting people hoping my team mates will notice

Danjeng1 votesTF has a point and click stun and he is quite strong. As does Annie. It surely can't be Ryze's ultimate that makes him a strong pick in pro play. A team-teleport that can be used to pressure multiple objectives simultaneously? Nah.
HaIlMonitor1 votesThat is fair also, but really he is just to reliable. In soloque he is to strong because he can make picks like a mad man so if he is at that level his is 100% pick and ban in pro play, but even if he isnt op in soloque his ult is still strong.
Making all melee champs bad in a game because of a low CD spell is ludicrous.

Atlªs1 votesSurely you don't think that all old Ryze had to do was press R and E. There used to be extensive combos with old Ryze but they've dumbed it down.
TheWizardM1 votesThing is, Ryze is pretty much only weak against the current high mobility meta. If they made mobility spells less of a must, Ryze would be up and running in no time.
