Yes, because 'balancing' Warwick is the Marketing and Sales department's top priority.

1.) Delay fixes 2.) Make a skinsale 3.) Profit

The last time a champion was even half as gamebreaking there were quickfixes... But apparently Warwick is safe as long as they can use the situation for a quick Dollar.

Because quickfixes > counterplay.

What counterplay? I hope you don't consider wasting 1250 on EACH champion for an item with poor stats and longer CD than his ult counterplay.

A 60% winrate speaks for itself. We haven't seen that since S2.

Warwick isn't even that inherently busted as a champ, he was pretty meh in S4. The only reason why he's so strong now is because Riot has no idea how to balance the jungle, once again, so he came out as one of the few that could survive in it.

Also, skin sales have absolutely nothing to do with champion balance, and one isn't planned around the other. Don't be stupid.

Different departments work on different things.

Also, counterplay: Use CC.

These are two different departments doing different things. They've also outrigh said that they are already making changes; they're being implemented on the PBE currently seeing if it actually fixes the problem. Next time you want to explode about something, you should probably make sure you know what's actually going on.

Check my match history. I downvoted, and I honestly don't remember the last time I played WW (and I'm a jungle main). So, call me a freelo abuser all you want. Please, do prove a point for me.

Everything is countered by CC.

  • Who CC's for you you as a toplaner / midlaner / jungler? The WW 1shots are not only a lategame issue.

As a midlaner: Keep an eye on where WW ganks. Play near the center of the lane so he can't jump at you from the bush. Watch out for herding by your lane opponent. Keep an eye on your position.

As a top laner: Play near the top of the lane. Ward so you can see him coming in.

As soon as you see him coming in, use a snare/stun/dash/whatever. Break vision lines. Stay out of his ult range. If you don't have anything to stop him or get away, then don't push unless he's dead or on the other side of the map.

So, you want some counterplay? Positioning is key, map awareness, utilizing your strengths and minimizing your weaknesses. While this is true of any champion, until the fixes are done (and they are in the works), make his ganks a waste of his time.

You do know realize that WW is one of the best champions to come from behind, right through your turret simply because he completely health back up again when jumping upon you? To be save from his Flash R ganks that would require a constant amount of 6 wards to be up to be save.

The fixes are coming, and they need to happen. But I've managed to avoid his ganks pretty easily, and won plenty of games against him. Lost plenty too.

If he flash ults, then you have 5 minutes before he can do it again. It also means he has no escapes at that point. It's a great time for your jungler or another lane to go kill him. Especially during his first couple of ganks, when his cooldown is nearly two minutes. Your jungler can also take advantage of his pre 6 to counterjungle and duel him to keep him slowed down and prevent his impact on the game.

Now, I don't disagree that he needs a fix. What I disagree with is blaming one department for another department, and acting like there is nothing being done about Warwick (Although, they are actually hitting the item in question and keeping an eye on Warwick).

sigh Riot IS working on the situation and it will probably roll out next patch. In the mean time get your panties out of that wad over a dang skin sale. Just because Riot has tuning to do in the pre-season doesn't mean they drop everything over one issue.

Try waiting until the next patch instead of crying for a quickfix. QSS should do you good in the meantime

Nice...nerf warwick, the devourer AND skirmishers. See if you cry loud enough, they'll nerf a champ back into obscurity.

The team in Riot who controls skin sales does not work on the balance team. Also, they are fixing Warwick... somewhat. Nerfs to the items that made him "OP" are on the PBE currently and are being tested.
