I sure do love watching Syndra do 800 damage with her W, another 400 with E, another 500 with Q, and then doing 2,000 with her ult in half a second.

But there's no real reason she's nearly 100% pick or ban in LC$. Nah. Those buffs? She needed them! She would be total garbage if she couldn't literally one combo people.

but annie does the same thing but to multiple people lol

tbf, annie's range is a lot shorter and is reliant on her four stacks and can't farm while it's up because farming with her autoattacks alone is absolute shit

Oh don't get me wrong, Annie's broken too. But she didn't get buffs not too long ago like Syndra did.

Yes, she should be garbage if she couldn't one combo people. She is, relatively balance, she has a strong presence I get it. But she is not unkillable, she has a good but not inflated win rate, and she takes a fair amount of skill to get off her combo's correctly. She's a good champ. El fin.

Yeah, maybe near her release. Not anymore though. You just kind of mash your buttons and one shot people for no good reason.

And, you know why she's able to cast while moving? Not because she's supposed to one shot people, but because she's supposed to kite around people and whittle them down before ulting.

But hey, what do I know.

Yeah, that's part of her skill cap. Which is why she struggles with high CC engages and assassins that can get to her. it's all about the gameplay of the summoners playing her at that point. Which is precisely where healthy champions live.

Also, you just "mash your buttons" for everyone.

Syndra is not in a healthy place. She frankly is cancer and Ebola combined. While it may take a bit of skill to combo someone to death, it's not that hard. It's not like the skill cap of Lee Sin, Elise, or Fiora. The fact an average skill mage has been such a high priority ban/pick for about two seasons in pro play screams about balance problems.

Then again, Ghostcrawler and balance don't mix.

You're just patently wrong here.

https://na.op.gg/statistics/champion/

She's 124, has a 46% win rate, and is averaging a 2.14 KDA. By the metrics alone she should be buffed, but we all know that she's relatively healthy because of her high skill cap requirements=high potential output.

What you are forgetting is what is pushing those stats down quite recently is Malz, her #1 counter, in a strongest buffed state for some time. Despite that she is still a very high ban or pick and she IS average skill level at most. The Q-W-E-R is one of the easiest full combos to full burst. I would like to see you name another mage with an easier 4 ability combo that can full delete.

Lux Annie Veigar Velkoz Brand , and that's only looking at strict mages.

Syndra does not have an above average pick/ban rate. Yeah, maybe in the "pros", but their meta and play is very different from general solo/flex.

The champs you listed have a more skill intensive combo required to maybe get a kill without repeating a skill. The big problem is Syndra doesn't have skillshots you can dodge as they come in. The E is about the only one, as the Q,W, and R really only depend on the caster aiming properly or clicking right target. Furthermore, none of her skills can be blocked by minions, while many of those mages can be screened. Velkoz skillshots are telegraphed and can be avoided. No triple passive stack, his R doesn't burn nearly so bad. Veigar stun and skills are likewise telegraphed early. Annie's combo is dependant on a visible passive stacking mechanic and she has a much shorter range than Syndra. Brand has telegraphed skillshots that make his combo tricky to pull off and full delete someone without a lead. Lux has to properly make use of her passive and autos to get a single combo kill, something unnecessary as Syndra.

At this point you're just reaching. I've been watching Lux's and Annie's decimate teams for years now. Syndra ults one person and if she doesn't have a team to back her up she gets wrecked.

Annie is literally listed as good beginners champ for mid. She's super easy. You know who is the next listed champ? Lux. You know who is not recommended for beginners? Syndra.

Syndra's Q, W, and E are skill shots and you can dodge all 3, but that would require skill and a fair amount of exposure to playing the champ. The only one that isn't a skill shot is her ult. But for to even get off her ult at peak she's required to use 2 abilities before throwing it.

The statistics don't match your story.

The listed skill caps on champs don't match your story.

You have nothing but conjecture to support your argument. It's just this belief that someones skill shots are harder to dodge than someone else's, which is just silly.

Syndras skill shots all are also area effecting. You can't minion block, there are no red warning alerts, and the delay for the cast to hit is shorter than for many other mages. All this combined means her skill shots are simple to use and hard to avoid.

Recommended champions haven't been tweaked in a crazy long time by Riot. THAT is reaching.

Finally, Annie and Lux may be strong teamfighting mages, but that doesn't automatically invalidate the fact that Syndra has a brutal 1-combo kill kit that is too simple to use with no counterplay to it.

When you lose your lane as Veigar against Syndra.
