Would it make sense to add this?
E.g. a player doesn't know exactly what champion they want to play, but they intend to play a mage. So they can pick intent "mage" but not need to specify a champion.
It would be nice if i could just intent for like 5 champs specifically, but i can see how that would be difficult to display properly.

Makes the likelihood of "all AD team" or "no tank" much lower since you can be like "I'm playing a tank jungle but I don't know if I want Sej, Maokai, or Jarvan" or something like that. Can also hover "mage" mid lane that way you don't have to rely on support/top/jungle to be a magic damage threat but you don't know if you want Taliyah, Ori, or Ahri.
Sun Wu Ryuumoku1 votesi totaly aggree, when im top i don't really care about this... but when im mid and i often hesitate between Talon, Ekko & Talyah... but im first pick and nobody showed his intention [slayer-jinx-unamused] But then they go Singed or kennen AP and Fiddle/nida jng and annie/zyra supp. So usualy as first pick u don't know if they take an ap or ad nore if u'll get a frontline (i won't play Taliyah if we are full squishy against tanks & assassins).
i think ur suggestion is great
