How to win games in D5.
-You dont
just played a game where I had 3 people that demoted from d2 to d5 just like me. Wonderful matchmaking, autofill is really cool in diamond. I love it.
Tbh if you get demoted from D2 to D5 and can't climb at all then you either got lucky climbing to D2 or you're just overall worse than before.
I know that D5 is complete garbage both in terms of players and matches (I have yet to play a decent game in this elo, only played about 10 games for decay though) but I think that a true D2 player wouldn't be hard stuck in D5 for months. Also, I highly doubt it's all about autofill... I mean, people climb out of it autofill or not, so...

dude, there's literally tons of people I know that got demoted like that. I even know a master player that is now d5. You think we all got lucky over 200 games to get to d2 or master ? No. It's the matchmaking, it's so bad that it's literally a gamble to play in this elo on whoever will get autofilled or not.
I'm D5 myself and the main problem is that despite my positive winrate and the fact that I had a streak once I got promoted (like 5 games) I get 16/17 and lose 21/22 LP. I mean, what the fuck? I just got promoted and you literally give me a handicap for it? Lol.
I know how you feel, my games are usually a ff@15 stomp for my team or the enemy team, no in between. But I used to duo with other Diamond smurfs on my smurf and they got past D5 easily, probably because of their "normal" LP gain.
Anyway, I've also noticed that A LOT of people have a very high winrate on their smurfs until D5 MMR happens. I myself had like a 80% ranked winrate and then I got to P1 with D5 MMR... needless to say my WR dropped to like 60%, lol. It might be that "true" D5 is my skill level, but it also happens with Higher ranks people. At this point, I think it's about consistency. If you have enough time to play 200 games/month, you'll climb out of D5 eventually.

thats the problem, if you're not a challenger player. you need to play sooooo many games, and why ? because the system is working against you. there's no way a d5 autofilled top is gonna do well vs. d1 top lane main. meaning I lost the game in champ select. that's why you need to play like 500 games just to override what the awful system is doing to the game.
I've been autofilled jung vs D3 jung mains in flex, and I still managed to win.
I main mid, I'm a good support too because I enjoy the role and I'm okay-ish adc (or, at least, I avoid dying in lane as much as possible if I am against someone that's surely better). I absolutely suck jungle and top.
Still, I practiced with some always-good and easy to play champions for those roles like WW and Poppy. I have a 70% WR with WW on 13 games iirc, I don't get autofilled much since I queue as mid/sup, but when I do it's jung or top 90% of the time and I still manage to win more than I've lost. Why? Simply because I learned how to adapt. Autofill is a thing, I have to deal with it every time, so I better get prepared for it.
Sadly, that's literally ALL you can do to win. If you get an autofilled adc that mains Janna then the game is already over in champ select. All you can do is check autofilled people's op.gg and hope they're not unlucky guys with a 10 games loss streak. In that case just dodge lol
You had,but your teammates may not show the same result vs a guy who is much above him on his main role.

pretty much who is the supp or not and make the bans for your elo. They need to just bring back the ranked blind pick like how it was befoer becuase there was no autofill

Nah, just means that your preferred champion or playstyle isn't meta right now. Toplane carry for instance is less likely to win than a glorified tank support. So those that rose when they could just hardcarry games will now be lower elo.
It also depends on your role and how good you are at trashing your opponent. For example, if you're a Draven main, you can snowball out of control if you're better than their bot. Same for jung, if you're good at it and you're able to pressure objectives more than the enemy jungler, you'll likely get a lead that could carry you to victory.
As for "meta", I don't think it's about meta picks. I did gold to D5 with a 47% winrate champ like LB, just because I'm probably better than the average LB. You don't need to perma pick a p/b champ like Twitch or Janna to win, it also depends on your skill level.
I agree that meta is a must in high elo though. I can't really remember of people who get to master with offmeta picks except for OTPs or VERY rare cases.
This is just classic "end of season ethnic cleansing". I myself went from Plat promos back to G5 over the course of a week. And this same thing happens to me literally every season. But you know.. maybe I was just lucky for 300 games before that week. Or I magically got worse during that week. Who knows.. definitely can't be the shit matchmaking though, that's for sure.

i demoted from d3 to p5 i started p5 at start of season, instantly climbed to d3 in under 200 games and then 800 games later im p5 again and lose promos 20 times
Destroy the enemy Nexus.
how to get out of diamond 5:
stop playing ranked and be happy you got to diamond. or go on an incredibly lucky streak idk dont listen to me i can't even play ranked without giving myself a headache.
queuing with more people that you know are reliable may help too. or learning how to play any position so you can avoid being negatively impacted by autofill.
Listen to this guy. I was Diamond IV last season, and i kept pushing until i dropped to Dia V. I played 1 more game just so i wouldn't decay down and then stop there (for real) and i got demoted to Plat I.
Worst game ever.
You gotta be really good if you think you need more than diamond.
Criteria to be met:
Freeze Lane Map Awareness and you need to not have tunnel vision Can hard carry diamond players Don't make mistakes Punish Mistakes or Bad plays CS needs to be perfect Don't die Mechanics need to be spot on Need to know kit power and rotations Need to calculate Risk/Reward Be Consistent Practice a lot Watch a lot of League Coachers coaching Strategy be good at diving and counter diving Ward at crucial moments don't get caught or go into brush late game Good Teamcomps
No lol
D5 boils down to MOSTLY just "hope your team is less shit than the other team" mechanics don't really matter, climbing in this elo is mostly about luck, unless you are Master/Challenger player where you can tip the odds significantly. Playing like a D2-D1 player even will still put the games mostly about luck.
Ehm...
Good half of what you named is requirement to reach high gold or platinum, not to leave damond
Noone with common sense will take this list seriously when it lists "don't do mistakes" and "don't die". That's like... Hey did you know you climb when you win? What a breaking news.

CS Well
Change this to "DON'T MISS ANY CS"
Have you seen some of those Master players get 700 cs when playing against a troll group at 60 minutes?
sounds like a 1 trick problem
imo you just really gotta hammer down on all fundamentals and actually get good at real league of legends.
my peak is promos into d4 :^)
Be a challenger player. That's what it takes to consistently win games in the hell known as D5.
apparently, elo hell is a thing in diamond (diamond 2 >> diamond 5 = screw rito matchmaking) but not in lower elos (i deserve silver 5 but stuck in bronze 1 = git gud at least to plat level and then think about getting out of bronze) according to high elo players...

shyt silver 5 and 4 is the hardest thing to climb out of due to peoplesaying gg at 4 min in after there own team dies meanwhile that said player was given 6 kills
are you sure d 5 is the elo hell? i always thought plat was.
d5 is the ultimate elo hell. High plat is bad, but not that bad.
eune d5 is na g5

Most ignorant comment you could have thought of. Congratulations.
Stating facts
now tell me how im supposted to win more games in Diamond 5?
According to Pants are Dragon, start playing the objectives/map more. In higher elos, progression is more about knowing what to do and when instead of how to do things. You should know the how by D5.
