Dear Jungler, if you dive my lane opponent under turret

vfactor95··39 votes·3,446 views

Kill him (or not), die, and then proceed to never come back to my lane I have but one thing to say: Fuck you

I don't need you to win my lane, I don't need your ganks, I don't even need your blue buff. Just don't lose my goddamn lane for me is all I'm asking.

I see this wayy too often where junglers go super ham early game and dive people after they've blown flash or something. But I'm sure this is still probably going to get downvoted given that it seems about half this board is made up of jungle mains with a victim complex.

The other 45% are support mains with a victim complex.

As a support main I take offence to this! Bring out the wards! item 2044 item 2043

The only reason I'd downvote you is the "fuck you." You're absolutely right, fuck them for feeding your lane. But the verbal salt isn't necessary. Then again, I'm not downvoting. And I'd rather hear it on Boards than in game.

I'm a jungle main. If I'm diving, it's because my laners are, or at least should/could be, in a good position to follow up. And I don't dive if I think I'll die. I've learned how many hits I can take, and I won't take any more than that. But I rarely dive early game. It's too easy to fuck up. Junglers who play super aggressively need to know how to be safe while doing so. Too many don't, and pass on the blame

vfactor954 votes

I'm expressing my "fuck you" sentiment on the boards as opposed to raging at my jungler in game.

But yeah the tower dives I'm talking about are when the jungler ganks early, mid laner flashes under turret and then jungler flashes after him.

Obviously a coordinated tower dive when they're pushed up to tower, low on health, we have lock down cc and enough kill potential is completely fine but those usually don't happen that early in the game when towers 3 shot people.

Junglers need to learn that it's ok to get the flash, AND THEN JUST GANK AGAIN.

Too many are either not satisfied with a flash, or get the flash and then don't follow it up with a gank soon after to take advantage of it.

Mid mains have their fair share of problems, but too often on this board I see junglers treated like some perfect but unappreciated model player that everyone unjustly shits on.

djjomon3 votes

I understand the "fuck you" sentiment. I'm just being honest about how I operate.

Otherwise, you get it. Everyone needs to learn to how work with the team, and not give up unnecessary early kills. Agreesive junglers especially

ur not allowed 2 blame the jungler. lol even if ur right.

LeeSin The rules say if you land it you have to go in.

vfactor954 votes

Thing is with lee he can also get back out super fast so it's actually not a problem for him (given the person knows what they're doing)

Sir Yamazuki4 votes

because top laners sure never dive at level 4 either.

chide da jungler4 votes

dear laner: sometimes a 1 for 1 trade is worth it, especially if it results in substantial creep-loss for the opponent and gets you a level advantage. Ideally, both laners get a kill and your opponent loses 2 waves.

tldr: you're bad and your generalizing statements are incorrect.

vfactor951 votes

You know what's better than a 1 for 1 trade? Coming back within 5 mts and getting a kill for free.

See the problem is if the jungler dives them, gets the kill and dies suddenly the laner is behind since kills are worth twice as much as assists. Now if the jungler comes back and makes a succesful gank it's ok! BUT if the jungler never comes back it becomes an uphill battle that could have been avoided.

Decaedeus1 votes

I'm sorry, but an assist on the enemy laner is absolutely worth. They die, you get to stay in lane. That's 2 waves, or 1 kill's worth of gold. So not only did you get free gold from the assist, you get to farm or roam while their laner is dead. Your original post was semi-coherent, but these ones just sound salty.

vfactor951 votes

I am salty...?

Whenever I mid in soloqueue I go in with the mindset that I will get no help from the jungler (or the rest of the team for that matter). If I get blue/ganks, awesome that's great, but I make sure I never feel dependent on it.

The problem is when junglers start coming into my lane and making thins worse and this happens more often than you think it would. I'm not pointing this out because it happened once and I'm salty about it. This happens a lot in soloqueue.

Of course that's not to say I never make mistakes when getting ganks, but that's for me to fix. So I just thought I'd make a post in order to make people aware that it's not necessary to be hyper aggressive as a jungler early game.

I'm literally just saying it's better to be safe than sorry is that so disagreeable?

Decaedeus1 votes

Nope. It's not disagreeable. But generalizing all jungle mains who sometimes make smart decisions to tower-dive does make you sound salty. Recognize that it's some certain niche cases where it does make you lose lane and not all the time.

I understand that you want to make people aware that it's not necessary to towerdive enemy laners and such, but "fuck you" is not the way to spread awareness.

Giving the enemy carry a kill is never worth it. Don't.

lol as a main jung i hate when Jungle mains cant own up that you cant dive just because they blew flash i gank when they have lanes pushed so that there is a good chance i can give the kills to my mid / top or even the adc just so that they can start getting them selfs ahead and i can focus on objectives but not many jung's anymore understand that you dont need to dive to get them out of lane yes if they have like less than 100 hp and ur at full its not bad as long as you do it right

vfactor953 votes

You have a good point but you might want to consider breaking that up into multiple sentences as it's rather hard to read as is.

I feel this falls in line with what jgers have to deal with. We get yelled at for being too aggressive. We get yelled at for not being aggressive enough. Were not ranked teams, we don't know how agro you go in any lane. If we see you go agro, we'll dive even if we die to help you snowball. however, if someone is down 2 kills in 5 minutes and tries to go agro like theyre up 3, don't flame the jger when they refuse to go to your lane from crows to help you when you get pimpslapped.

really it stems from this. Jungler mains (for the most part) have more to worry about in a game than other roles. You cant expect us to fully understand your intentions and playstyle if weve never played with you before, don't get mad at us when what we guess and what you do are 2 different things.

try telling the jger, hey, don't dive, im passive farming, or "hey don't gank top, I can hold heimer off, we just cant dive him"

communication is key and anyone who mains jungle will appreciate it greatly if you let them know your style etc.

vfactor957 votes

There's communication and there's flashing under a turret at level 4 to maybe secure a kill.

Best case scenario even if the mid laner manages to follow up perfectly it's an even 1 for 1 trade. Worst case we get counterganked and both die.

And what the fuck is this "if ur losing lane don't flame the jungler" that literally has nothing to do with this post. Yes there are idiot laners who can't play for shit and blame their shittiness on the jungler, am I saying anywhere in this post that it's ok? Fuck no.

I am literally only saying that junglers shouldn't be diving towers EARLY GAME because it happens way too often.

Get the flash, get out, and gank again within 5 mts. This doesn't require communication, it requires a brain.

Jungler main on board logic: Dives tower makes laner behind, Laner ask for gank jungler doesn't respond. Laner pings once for them to gank jungle yells at them and says they cant win lane.

Primaquarius1 votes

I would love to jungle again as soon as they buff the EXP gain some more. The reason I don't is because whenever I am jungle, the lanes that need a gank assist have 2 or more higher levels. Even with hyper burst Nunu, this is impossible.

Shield Villain1 votes

I played a game a while back with a Rek'sai who came in to gank my lane, only when I was back at the fountain. Immediately she fed Fizz, after I had taken first blood on him. I tell her right away "Rek'sai stay out of my lane, I don't need ganks. Just stay out okay? Farm or help the other lanes." Well, Rek'sai whent into the enemy jungle, failed to steal the jungler's blue, and immediately Fizz goes to help the jungle finish her off, making it so I have to follow and try to kill him before he gets another kill.

We survive that somehow. I back. Guess what Rek'sai does? Ganks Fizz at our tower and dies...Fizz then goes on to snowball and carry hard.

CudyDarkyz1 votes

Dear Midlaner.

I only dived because you pinged for a gank at lvl 3 while you shoved the lane.

Sincerely your smartass jungler

vfactor951 votes

If that's the case then it's on the mid laner for making a bad call, and the jungler for falling up on it. You need at least 3 people to tower dive safely early game (generally speaking).

The hypothetical (that happens often) I'm referring to in this post is more about a regular gank in which the enemy flashes away to turret and the jungler follows after them.

CudyDarkyz1 votes

I was just making a joke about when i'm told to gank before i even have my second buff.

They tell me never to come back T_T

1: Dying to solo tower dives

2: Coming into the lane from behind ME -- obviously scaring the opponent away. Especially when I was sure I could kill them alone, but asked the jungler for help for a guaranteed safe and clean kill.

3: When they go to your lane while you're at base, while your opponent laner is at reduced health and at low mana, without waiting for you, letting them know that he's in the area and that they should return to base as soon as possible.

GundayMonday1 votes

Can you please be on my team? Need more laners with your mindset.

Nemuze1 votes

I kno the feels, seems like eery single game my jungle feeds my lane, then blames me. As if I asked him too come too my lane and lose the game. Becuase i totaly needed that too happen. But at the same time 10% of the games my jungler goes rammus and wins 1v5 Da fuK?
