Heal - Bot supports are way too strong right now.

I don't really know what else to add honestly, they're boring and enforce a boring and honestly toxic game-play style.

You just know if there is a Soraka or the like on the enemy team you're never going to be able to kill anyone or contest objectives in the mid/late game.

Even with grievous wounds it's a miserable slog.

I don't think you tried hard enough if I can outdamage a Soraka's heal. That is without Grievous Wounds.

Also, did you know Soraka can't heal herself besides her ult? AMAZING RIGHT?

She also damages herself for 15% of her HP. Too hard to kill. :<

Easy to say when she sits BEHIND the backline doing nothing but spamming heal for allies, try to get close to her and you get instant silence and executed lol.

A soraka played correctly will also position herself well out of the reach of anyone who can kill her and if you dive to get her she has this rather large silence field which then proceeds to snare the unlucky person who attempted to kill her.

That snare is not instant and easy to walk out of because it takes so long to snare.

I'm not sure why you added the bot in the titles because supports only go bot unless your talking about player vs AI games and if thats the case i feel bad for you if you can't beat a bot team with soraka.

If you mean the role as support being too strong you have it wrong, support is the least desirable role right now. Champs like soraka and sona are annoying in low tier games but when you get to diamond up they aren't seen much.

I'm sorry it's kind of oddly spaced out.

I mean "Heal-bot" as in a champion who's designated role is to just be obnoxious and heal everything within a half mile and prevent any real progress from occurring.

I find it to be a nice break from the leona/blitz/thresh that dominated soloqueue for the last like 3 seasons.

It's way more fun to play against a good nami than a good thresh.

This is very true. Nami sona and soraka are completely plaguing bot lane

Most champs that can heal either can't heal themselves, can't heal themselves easily, or have a heal that's generally not as effective as Soraka's. I agree that it can be a pain laning against Soraka or Nami, but part of any competitive game is adaptation. Focus on farming and wait for ganks. Remember, you technically don't need to win a single exchange in laning to be effective. As long as you push well and keep them backed up, you're not only contributing to the team's later success, but you're getting plenty of farm for the ADC.

Heal and shield supports both do that. Some like Nami are both agressive and passive, very aggressive early game and passive late normally until engaged. Yes, heal supports are quite strong...... but they are squishy and often require a large amount of health (soraka's case) or mana to keep it up. For example Nami with maxed rank W heal is a wopping 130 mana to use. Thresh hook is 80, Blitzcrank hook is 100. Lets have that in perspective..... if you can hook and your adc pokes hard, almost every support will need 2-3 or more heals to bring their adc up to full again. The more safely aggressive you are, the more the healing support has to use, which gives you much more openings.

It's a collection of things making this happen. First is how powerful Censure is, and Mikaels+Ruby Sightstone combo as well for protecting them. Add that and the dominance of attack speed based ADCs like Ashe/Jinx/Twitch/Sivir/Cait/Kog/etc and suddenly these items make any support who can abuse them absolutely godly.

This is why Karma was so strong, and now Sona with her recent changes. Alone they are strong but add these items in this meta and it's a perfect storm that couldn't be any better for them.
