mordekaiser is everything a juggernaut shouldn't be in 2019

how did this get greenlit when it's closer to a design you would expect from 2011 league than a modern champion?

hes like a stereotype of things people whine about juggernauts for. Is he a stat check? Yes. Is there any skill expression? No. He has less than Garen. Less than Garen. Does he create interesting gameplay? Not at all, not in a single spell. His gameplay sums up as gets his win condition arbitrarily easily, then walks over on you without considering anything else. Is his gameplay inspired or unique? No, hes just another retelling of the 2 most iconic juggernauts. Urgot have us ranged Darius, now you can have AP Darius bro.

His entire base kit is a crappy amalgam of Garen and Darius without the satisfaction of either. His ultimate is such a broken spell that the only way to make it reasonable is to make it a QSStax. If Mordekaiser is EVER viable as anything except a direct counterpick, then hes too strong. That is all this champion should ever be good at doing.

It's even more insulting that Riot immediately follows this up with something as good as Pantheon that gives him so much skill expression and room for player creativity, right after turning Mordekaiser into the most caveman friendly champion in League. What a waste of a great champion concept

Dude do you even know what a statcheck is?

He has two attacks that you can actually evade without having to burn flash or use a dash. These two attacks are vital for his damage.

That's literally the opposite of what a statcheck is

his W sustain and his passive are both pretty fucking stupid if you ask me. all the mechanics of his W are stat checks btw, people not gonna get that. same for his E

uhhhh. what?

While I agree morde is a little strong I wouldnt call him a stat check.

His Q does actually quite low damage, unless you are isloated. This actually creates counterplay. fight within your minions and he is drastically weakened. His E which is his only way to get to you is quite easily dodgeable. His ult gets cancelled by QSS.

Morde has tons of counterplay. and is in no way a statcheck. Stat check refers to the champ's damage being unavoidable and so beating them is much less about skill (while this still applies because there are things you can do) and more about your damage - health ratio being better than theirs.
