Jax's entire kit needs massive fixing

Almost all his skills are bugged in one way or another.

When Jax's leap strike is interrupted mid leap, sometimes the damage will go through on an enemy champion and sometimes it won't. Whatever outcome is intended this needs to be consistent.

Jax's counterstrike has no consistency in it whatsoever. The skills it can dodge and can't dodge aren't made clear in game or by coding. He can dodge the entirety of a Gangplank/Ezreal Q, but he only dodges the AD portion of a nasus/garen Q? He dodges the entirety of Irelia's AAs during hiten style but he doesn't dodge Kayle/Kogmaw on hit buffs? Can this be fixed to be made consistent please?

Also, Jax's ultimate proc has a bug that's been in the game for awhile now and it's never been fixed. Sometimes after pausing his autoattacks, the third hit proc will only take two autoattacks instead of three; i have no idea why this happens or why it's even intended, but here's a video of it happening from a year ago (It's been in the game since 2012 though). Notice how after his ultimate procs around 13 seconds, it only takes 2 hits to charge it again.

His kit is ancient and needs its bugs fixed ASAP. You fixed his laggy as all hell autoattack animation a few patches ago but he has so much more wrong with him that needs work.

  1. Jax's leap is coded that Jax is "Knocked into the air" at the start of his jump and the damage is dealt when Jax lands on the ground. Therefore, regardless of any animation interruptions, e.g. displacement & airborne CC applied after the start of Jax's leap, the moment Jax lands on the ground is when the damage is dealt. I don't know how Riot will go about fixing that but I'm guessing this is the issue with Leap Strike Ranged Attack Bug.

  2. The video shows an exploit case of Jax's passive interaction with R and autos...Jax is supposed to do R-empowered attack when he has 2+(3n) number of relentless assault stacks, not "every 3rd attack", as coded by Riot. This bug should not be too significant regarding gameplay because Jax must LOSE ALL HIS STACKS right at the moment of the autoattack landing, which is IMO a very rare occurrence. Additionally, losing AS is more impairing than having to do one less AA for R to Jax, so it is a bug, but the bug is insignificant IMO and does not contribute to Jax's strength when exploited.

  3. I haven't played Jax in a while, but dodge should be an "on-attack" effect and not an "on-hit" effect: the decision is made when the attack initiates, not when the attack lands. Gangplank's Q and Ezreal's Q should damage Jax with no problem. Garen's Q and Nasus's Q are AA-modifiers and, as far as I know, will go through Jax's dodge. Kog'Maw's Arcane barrage bonus magic damage should be tied to a hit and is an AA, so it shouldn't apply if Jax dodges the attack, same with Irelia. Kayle's AD portion of attack should be dodged, but since Kayle also does an AoE attack around Jax and apparently if Kayle didn't damage her main target with the magic damage the AoE will hit anyways, Jax gets hit with the magic damage..........Again, I didn't play Jax (and versus all the specific matchups as well) but there should be a consistency to what works and what doesn't work according to my past experience and my knowledge. It may contradict what you observe in game, which you should upload videos showing the contradiction.

Yes I agree that there should be consistency but currently there isn't. There's no reason he shouldn't dodge all of Kog and Kayle's on hit if he dodges all of Irelia's. And there's no reason he shouldn't dodge Garen/Nasus Q if he can dodge the whole ezreal/gp Q

What I think is that Jax should dodge Kog attacks entirely, Irelia attacks entirely, Kayle attacks only for the single-target portion (I actually don't know how Kayle E works), and should not dodge AA-modifiers and any other skill that procs on-hit effect but does not use an on-attack loop (i.e. GP Q and Ezreal Q).

If that is currently not the case, then Riot should take time to fix it.
