Interest in the game has been declining massively since jan 2016

Not definite proof of decline in the player base but it does show a decline in interest of searches in google and youtube since the adc rework. Combined with the recent decline in viewer ship on twitch for both pro and casual streaming should riot be worried?

Bulgaria #1 Philippines #2.

Not too surprising, they both have similarly weak economies, though much less crime in Bulgaria. League of legends is 100% free and very easy to run on cheap machines; for those, I'd say they play more due to limited options rather than a choice.

Yes I enjoy smite but the sad truth is that it doesn't look as pleasing as league does on my laptop. So I end up booting lol more than smite

I mean if you sit inside playing league all day, may as well move to Bulgaria $1 for 2.2 liters of beer, $200 pc, and set for life. Oh god...this is the future of our generation when we all retire...Way better than bingo though.

so as weird as it is rather than using your retirement/pension/401k on a retirement living there is this old lady in florida who spends a couple days in a hotel then takes a cruise ride where they have people wait on her hand and foot and once she gets back she repeats the process, she has done it for so long she gets VIP treatment as a frequent customer. That is a way better way of using retirement than going to one of those death traps.

Bulgaria a death trap? Is that a joke? It's safer than the US, also a very nice place (IMO). Man, some people really stereotype without thinking. Also, yes it's much lower than Florida as well. Plus, screw hurricanes.

Anyways, point being, a lot spend their youth gaming, makes sense a lot would retire into it as well since online gaming doesn't require the most athletic build...

I was referring to retirement homes, they are depressing and you can feel the energy being sucked out of the people there

Oh yes, definitely, my mistake. It's better to get out somewhere healthy and try to be active at any age tbh.

yeah if i used the comma properly instead of just running on it would of made the initial post much better, the best example of this was on a t shirt for mothers day. I am a mom who loves cooking my family and gardening.

Who in there right mind would play smite by choice?

Riot balance is a joke but they dont prioritse lootboxes over everything else

I like the adventure mode that comes more frequently then the RGM and they have the game mode of the day which one instance was actually arurf, yes what riot felt took lots of effort they viewed as a quick mode that can be thrown into a bucket that is reached into daily to give players something different to play

Don't read too much into it. DOTA 2 is the next competitor and is trending down roughly the same rate. League is still the most popular MOBA.

Fortnite, on the other hand..

In the west, europe and usa yes. I would imagine that it infact growing massively in the east. This brings problems of its own as voth groups have massively different intrests when it comes to gaming

No one needs to use Google to find League of Legends. This is a terrible indicator of League's actual interest. That spike for Fortnite doesn't represent players either. It just represents people who used Google to search for the game.

While there are likely more players playing Fortnite right now, don't use Google trends to determine the amount of actual players. There are Fortnite news articles all over mainstream news. 20 million grandmothers that don't play video games and still use AOL are searching that term.

League would be a better indicator, does anyone that already plays actually type out league of legends in google?
