Expanding the mute/report feature
Have you ever wished you could mute someone who is trolling or being rude in champion select, and even flag them for reporting?
What about the people you mute during a match, only to have to deal with them in the post-match lobby? Wouldn't it be nice if the mute carried over so they aren't given a free pass to further harass you?
Throughout the years, Riot has listened to the community by adding better reporting tools (the IFS) and also allowing us to mute pings inside the game. My personal favorite, having lower MMR, is the command "/fullmute all" which instant turns a rage filled chat and screen filed with spam pings into a peaceful and quiet match of League of Legends.
I've brought this one up in the past, but I wanted to post about this idea again at the advice of RedEdge in Riot Support since Riot employees actively read these forums and respond to our ideas (sarcasm).
So then, things Riot can do to improve the mute and report features:
- Add the ability to mute players in Champion Select and the Post-Match Lobby
- Make it so that once a player is muted in one phase (Champ Select, in-game, post-game) it carries over to the next phase so they cannot further harass you
- Add the ability to flag a player for reporting in Champion Select (to better fight against people who dodge a lobby to avoid the IFS) and during a match (for those of us who forget once we've finally escaped that nightmare match and just want to gtfo)
I'm very sure Riot employees will see this thread and consider these ideas, especially since RedEdge said this is the way to get more exposure.
