Solution to FQC being abused mid lane
Buff AP items. Specifically the pricing of AP items. I can't be the only one to think it feels terrible to wait 1100 gold for 
, 1265 for 
, 1365 for 
, 1050 for 
, 765 just for 15 magic pen on 
, 950 for 
, and 800 just for 
. The reason people buy 
and rush it into 
is because it feels good to buy. The stats aren't the best, but for 2200 gold and a passive that will literally pay for the finished item in about 15 minutes, why would I rush anything else? Also gonna put out there that the starter item feels 100% better than 
simply because I can get three 
or 
instead of just two with .
And for a final reason why people are rushing : 
feels absolutely awful to buy. Seriously, the passive got nerfed, the stats stayed the same, and the price increased. Even if it still is a decent item, I can't stand buying it now. Especially when AD champs get 
for 800 gold and a much easier to activate passive.
Forreal, the item itself isn't the problem, the problem is mages have no better options.
