Runes Class Tier List in who gained the most to least.
A repost but in more detail. Going from strongest to weakest, I discuss the classes that got buffed the most, remained the same, and got nerfed. Some classes may have gotten left out, for example divers and juggernauts, but that was for I lack the actual data to rank them, This was mainly to discuss the most common known classes.
The Buffed Tier
1: Jungle assassins: Anything that resembles these guys are happy. This is largely because of the introduction of Stacking runes. Historically junglers of all kinds have ALWAYS loved a item that allows them to stack stats based off the kills or assists they get. This year however it was not made into the form of a item but instead a rune, a couple to be honest. The result is the rise of assassin junglers, and I believe even after the runes are nerfed/adjusted, assasin junglers will still be very dominant. If you resemble
or
than you are a very happy camper
2: Tanks in any role: ways to become tankier, ways to do more damage, ways to destroy towers, honestly if you are tank this patch you are also a very happy person, which creates a very weird question for possible pro play high elo. Generally Assasins and tanks can never be meta at the same time, for tanks heavily counter assasins, however we might be in a meta where both are so strong, that they can exist at the same timed. Moving back to discussing tanks, they were heavily buffed in ability to fight and trade while also given tools to destroy objectives. To be more specific we have moved more into a health tank meta and not armor meta.
are tanks to look out for
Neutral Tier
3: Marksman and Fighters: So I am placing these two classes, into the same ranking, I feel they are completely tied, but if someone put a gun to my head and said "CHOSE NOW" I might give the edge towards Marksman. Discusing marksman first, they got almost all their old keystones back, just slightly reworked, and most of them function fairly well, they were given some stack tools that have great potential and honestly if the two above marksman weren't so over powered, Marksman could of easily gotten the number 1 spot. I eventually see Marksman taking that spot, for I reallky like how their trees are designed, but for now, Marksman are just Neutral, neither buffed nor nerfed. Fighters on the other hand I feel would prefer the old keystone system, but that being said I don't necessarly see them as nerfed, for they can use the current resources quite well, the only problem is they have nothing they are crazy about. I do see this becoming a potential problem in the future though, where once the runes are balanced out fighters may fall much lower on the current ranking i gave them. Examples.

4:** Mid assasins/top Assassins AD:** So mid and top laners, these are typically lanes where you want to play a very dominant style, so because of this people took lane dominant key stones and perhaps lane dominant runes. However for the most part, the concept of "flats" has been completely removed and replaced with scaling runes, specifically for mid lane assassins like zed, talon, or yasuo, that's just not how you want to play, you want to play for dominance so you can get to roaming and helping other lanes as fast as possible. Or you just want the flat stats to help you against the endless harass from mages and the occasional marksman mid laners. At the moment you can use the new thunderlords, but why would you when the scaling runes are so fucking good right now. It makes these match ups feel clunky and awkward, and despite having such good scaling runes I would just heavily prefer some form of flats in the form of defense or offense. Over all they weren't nerfed, but they weren't buffed either, and this could become a potential issue in the future for them.

The Nerfed Tier
5: Mage/Enchanter Supports: I think both of these classes will still remain strong, purely because they have strong abilities, but in the terms of what they gained in runes, doesn't feel like to much, with the nerfs of ardent censor, and the removal of windspeekers blessing I see these guys heavily dropping. I am not saying "OMG ENCHANTERS ARE UNPLAYABLE" But I do see a end to the two year, play enchanters or your trolling support meta. That being said we WILL see a rise in vanguards and guardians along with harass mage supports like brand. Enchanter players can still play the game, they will just have to say goodbye to the 55 percent win rate

6: Mid lane/Top Mages Really feel like they got the short end of the stick here to the point they feel nerfed. Almost none of these keystones..no I take it back NONE of these keystones feel good. Why the hell is summon Aery in the sorcery tree, when it's clearly a supportive type ability why do we have Phase rush that's something LITERALLY anyone else would want. Why do mages not have a single actual form of legitimate magic penetration even though mages have strictly taking penetration marks for the past 4 years. Honestly riot hard core dropped the ball in mages. Expect large win rate drops if this isn't fixed soon.
