Can Blits at least have some risk for his Q?

xxxMadLionxxx··4 votes·607 views

Once blits grabs you, you're pretty much dead. Would it be too much to ask for blits grab to have a shorter range?

I mean, he does have a knock up and silence? and a tanky passive?

I think he should have to get closer in order to land his grab so my team could actually help if i get caught.

Umm, you do realize some Champions BEG a Blitz to pull them.

Right?

Certain Champs, Blitz pulling them will cause Blitz's team to lose.

but that would mean that people cant play their full squishy teams with adc mage-support assassin top assassin jungle and mage mid laner. because they can be countered by a possible pull. if people build healthy teams then things like being pulled from blitz crank becomes less of a problem also engageing on blitz and his team when he pulls is a great way to counter his pull by engageing before he and his team can kill off your ally. but in this meta no one knows what it is to back up their allies and dont engage to help their allies until 1 their alleis dead or 2 their allies can win with out their help but they come in now so they can try to get the kills

He's really annoying, but he's such a one trick pony since his whole kit revolves around him being able to grab you.

Just stand behind minions, ward if he roams lanes, idk it's not that hard.

I used to really hate Blitz and swore up and down he was up OP but nah he's not. Just one of those things.

Regardless of my or anyone else's opinion of Blitzcrank:

"Hope the guy playing him is incompetent." is not a valid example of either Champion Weaknesses or counterplay.

To be fair, a tank can intercept the Q. It's a bit more lethal than body-blocking most skillshots, since being grabbed can place you into a sweet engaging position. Sejuani, for instance, could benefit from using her Q to block a Blitz Q, then retaliating with her ult and getting everyone behind Blitzcrank.

Yes, a person less vulnerable to it, like a tank, can stand in front of someone more vulnerable and all that. But that doesn't matter.

It's not valid; it's a Red Herring. This excuse does not discuss the questions being raised by this discussion so it is not a valid point of discussion whether it's about this mechanic, a different mechanic, a champion's current strength and performance, or anything else.

"it's called, 'that player can misplay'. So it's fine." is an excuse that can be applied to literally everything in this game.

"it's called, 'that player can misplay'. So it's fine."

But I didn't say that.

I specifically gave an instance where a player can outplay Blitzcrank. A tank using their ability to intercept another ability to put them in a favorable position to initiate an engage is different than Blitzcrank accidentally grabbing the tank. A little more involved than just standing in front of them, which would be a misplay on Blitzcrank's part but that's not the specific scenario I mentioned in any form. Sejuani using her Q to intercept a game-changing skillshot is not "[standing] in front of someone more vulnerable and all that." That would specifically be an outplay on Sejuani's part, not a misplay on Blitzcrank's.

Positioning is a part of the game, and it's part of counterplay. It's why we don't have ADC's in the frontline of a teamfight, and tanks behind them. If a team properly positions themselves, they can outplay enemy mechanics that rely on aim and timing (like a Blitzcrank Q).

I didn't say that you did.

I have been addressing ZephyrDrake's comment this whole time. That quoted section is deliberately and clearly patterned after that, to generalize it and show that it does not work.

but its replying to TombDragon not ZephyrDrake if you were speaking to Zephyr drakes comment you would have replied to ZephyrDrakes comment like you did in the first that second comment of yours was meant to dis credit what TombDragon said

His Q is what makes him Blitz and the only reason why he is remotely useful. I'll admit that I really really hate Blitzcrank and I get annoyed when I see him but even I know they probably shouldn't do something like that. Fixing his hit box or making it easier to know if you really are getting grabbed could be something I can agree with. Sometimes grabs was way past his max range but still hits you. Or they can just reduce some of his damage, since AP blitz does a lot of damage.

blitz is a tank with lower hp than adcs and a passive on a long as fuk cooldown for the type of passive it is malz has it better and his sheild is up and used every 20-8 seconds 90% damage reduction and cc immunity

The Deckowner1 votes

there are actually tons of risks of missing a q with blitz, for example: 250 base mana, 100 mana per hook. super long hook cd. rest of blitz's kit were nerfed a lot and has very little utility to compensate the power of his q.

spombjop1 votes

riot should first rework this cancer Braum his Q hitbox is broken his passive is OP as hell and needs nerf

etc

Faceroll Tactics1 votes

Yeah his Q has a long cooldown and takes a fourth of his mana.

My thought on blitz is that while he has a healthy win rate, his play pattern is lame. He can miss him after hook after hook, and win lane off of one pull... I don't like the concept of being able to fail multiple times and win a lane immediately. Other supports have a much more interactive, laborious play pattern. I don't like the concept of being rewarded for landing one skill after failing repeatedly. He isn't interesting or fun you play as or against
