is a pretty niche item, used almost exclusively on high damage champions that get ahead and tend to be difficult to kill even without it (
to name a few) but when it is used it just seems to be senselessly frustrating to play against while simultaneously not being rewarding to use.

The Bearded Bard1 votesThere's plenty of items that have been removed from the game because they aren't pulling their weight as items and essentially only have the purpose of amplifying frustration when playing against a fed enemy.

SaltyKracka1 votesPerhaps it's because revival is supposed to be the most efficient thing for full damage squishies? Or perhaps it's there so that you can double down on the pattern.
The Bearded Bard1 votesMore often it's used to deter people from targeting the very people they should target. That and to stall out teamfights. The revival on it takes 4 seconds, standing huddled around a corpse for 4 seconds is a great way to get aced or lose objectives, but that's what you have to do to ensure the person you just killed stays dead.
