Being Chat Restricted helped me

Okay so I'm actually not that much of a toxic person but if someone is harassing me I tend to defend myself or if someone goes 0/13 or goes kayle adc and feeds I will get a little salty and will ask them to please try a little harder etc. When the 0/something/0 harrases me first or anyone I get even more enraged. When they showed me the chat logs I got restricted for I was just like wow okay, I hope they also restricted the people who I was responding to who made me reach that "toxic" point. The worst thing I said in them was calling someone an idiot for bashing me when they weren't doing good themself. I see that as being way too easily offended to be reported for and things that should really be reportable are things like "kys" "dont play ranked, you suck" "refund your skin" or "you're trash, uninstall" but that's just me haha.

But my point is now that being chat restricted I've learned to not even type all game pretty much after the restriction passed. There's no point. Don't even try to defend yourself when someone is harassing you because that can lead to toxicity and you'll get reported for it. Don't ever defend yourself you don't need to, just ignore it and you will perform better instead of typing away to defend yourself and getting tilted and making you feel or be negative. I dont even type anything all game anymore unless it's gj to someone's play or something actually important to the game. Anytime someone makes a toxic remark to me I just ignore it or tell them I'm reporting them because I dont stand for it, I'm not the kind of player that likes to start toxicity, I find it stressful. I like League and I dont want to make it stressful haha. I dont even think players on the same team should fight at all.

In the 5 years I've played this game and this being my first chat restriction/penalty I realized that the game is just overall more toxic than ever, I've never seen it this bad but we just gotta learn to have tougher skin. So many players abusing Mia pings for the wrong reason and in a spammy toxic manner, that never happened in season 3/4 and I think 5 too. It just gets worse and worse. But I want to say thank you for that penalty because I honestly think I learned from it and it's improved my mentality, behavior, and even my performance. Just play the game and don't let anyone get to you, dont even respond to them even if they are. Just report them after the game haha! I don't like having to mute people but I may have to learn to start doing that too, I just feel like the people you have to mute shouldn't even be in the game, it makes me sad.

I have been muting anyone that shit talks at all lately. I do not mute all at the beginning because sometimes it helps. Ex: "Baron after this twr" , "lets split 1/3/1" you know
