So Moe went to Riots HQ to test something, does that mean that there are Yasuo changes coming?

I remember back when the assassins change came,Scarra was called to Riots HQ to test the new Katarina... Soooo could a Yasuo mini rework be a thing ?

I don't HATE yasuo, in fact I think the concept of Yasuo is fantastic, it's just the execution was poor. They overstacked his abilities to make him safe as a melee adc, and failed to address the fact he hasn't been an effective adc in years. If they want him to be an adc they need to make his fit that lane better without making him more viable elsewhere. Imagine if his windwall only blocked AA's. Suddenly he's still good against adc's but can't screw over every assassin/mage in the game. Imagine his passive shield was his only passive (as it would be with most champions) and he had to build crit items like every other adc in the game to get 100%, suddenly he doesn't snowball off 1 kill. Imagine his abilities had a CD, and his dash only worked if he killed the target (like irelia), suddenly he couldn't just dash 8 times in a wave to avoid taking skillshots, engaging to do damage/cc and then disengage without punishment. Imagine his ult didn't remove him from tower range (the only one in the game to do this) so he got punished for diving. Or maybe even got broken by CC (again like any other ult in the game that's essentially a long CC).

All of these are changes that wouldn't stop him from playing as an adc, hell wouldn't even stop him playing mid/top, but would also balance him against the rest of the champions in the game.

In short the idea of a highly mobile, "wind samurai" is an awesome concept straight out of a players Anime dreams, but the execution created a hypercarry, snowball champion that is both too safe, and too strong at the same time. If Riot are finally going to fix this then I say go for it.

half of what you are saying is stupid, If ww only blocked AA, then he would need defensive buffs, same with if you took out the double crit, defensive buffs, plus base ad scalings increased. A lot of what are just saying doesn't make any sense from a game play aspect. Yasuo ults into 5 people and ccs himself, so you want him to be ever squishier? You coudlnt even ult in teamfights late game.

You mean like a passive shield, new AD items that give both damage AND defense, true damage, and an ult that works the same way every other ult in the game does?

Yeah, he's got it all dude lol

ADC Yasuo main here

I peeked challenger with 56% winrate on yasuo (60% on ADC yasuo ) last year

Yasuo ADC succeded its just that comunity gets tantrums any time someone picks yasuo lowering its winrate

Recently there was a fantastic fleet footwork change yasuo adc might be back (Granted jhin is his hard counter)

Cool, but does that mean that he is MORE viable as an adc then as a mid/top laner?

Don't get me wrong, I know yasuo's winrate is low because of bad players, but viably he is more a midlaner/toplaner then he is an adc nowadays (only seen adc yasuo about 5 times in the last 2 seasons, and then only 1 that was any good lol).

Its more of about people trolling you if you pick anything other then a Ranged ADC

Tbh I don't think it's just them "trolling." The effectiveness of melee adc's has been questionable for some time, and while I have seen the odd yasuo and morde adc (with relatively good results for both), they don't tend to be very safe picks vs the ranged adc's.

This is yasuo's kit is overloaded with "safety" tools, and why Yasuo finds far more success in mid and top lane then as the adc's he was meant to be. The safety given to him to deal with a ranged adc beating on him is just as effective against mages in midlane without the issue of supports getting involved. By making his kit LESS overloaded, he would actually be MORE viable as an adc, and therefore benefit those (like yourself) that play him as he was meant to be.

Well I Play yasuo in every role. ADC gives me the best results. Its just that you get matched with crybabies who legit int if you pick yasuo adc, or they first time a champion expecting a loss Etc

Most toplaners just stat check yasuo there are really rough matchups. Granted many matchups can be manipulated with diff keystones And in midlane you get ganked by 12313 angles

Yasuo adc works in challenger. Well it worked for me

It used to work better with lifesteal quints (we just got fleet buffs tho) It used to work better when you could hold tornado longer

Biggest yasuo strenght is that he can be flex pick. But none abuses it yet IN LCS which is understandable because not everyone can play Yasuo

Yasuo is overpowerd champion

There is also a chance Irelia can be played as ADC. But didnt have a chance to test it

Yeah he gets countered up there, but he also counters a lot and has skill matchup's into many more

And in midlane you get ganked by 12313 angles

Ah but he has escape and safety. I played Diana into a yasuo mid, got him low, jg came in, he still got the kill on me before dying to the jg. This happened about 5 times during laning phase.

She lacks the safety yasuo has built in.

Infernal Ironic1 votes

She lacks the safety yasuo has built in.

Both champions can sort of farm without getting poked much She has built in sustain which is simply better then yasuo shield

And their safety is about even imo.

But I only have 2 games at new Irelia didnt master her unlike yasuo. And even then I would have to take her to ranked against high elo players

Yasuo can dodge skill shots with a low CD, irelia can only do this if there is a minion within range that is low. Irelia's sustain is regaining a small amount of lost hp, yasuo's is a near constant passive shield. Yasuo has a cc that is driven off a low CD ability. Irelia has a long cd cc that's designed to allow for engage. Also Yasuo has WW which gives a huge amount of protection while cs'ing which irelia lacks (though her w gives 45% damage reduction it also makes her a sitting target for traps etc). Yasuo has a very cheap first item that gives him damage reduction, irelia has a very expensive item that makes her Q damage relevent.

On the whole I'd say yasuo has far more protection and also requires less action to gain this safety when compared to irelia. Also his low CD's allow for him to use this safety more often then irelia. By all means give it a go, i love chessey picks like this, but I must say I can't see it working.

People didnt expect me to hit challenger with ADC yasuo but I did it (Granted I was primary mid ap assasin/mage main only secondary ADC yasuo

I think irelia can go quite far in botlane. Once I give it a go ll reply again and post Mhistory from my main

While mordekaiser for example... nah that thing is niche requires blitz/thresh otp and doesnt work in any other case

To have a decent winrate on yasuo adc in any case is an achievement, even as a secondary, as is getting to challenger!

I'll look forward to it :)

Don't be so quick on this one. Check this out https://www.reddit.com/r/YasuoMains/comments/8i986w/psa_from_your_friendly_slightly_toxic_yasuo_main/ | http://prntscr.com/jp2s1l it's not gonna be a huge rework at all. Just a passive rework or just a simple buff to him. Nothing more.

You're kidding right?

His bad win rate is most likely due to people watching Anime and going into ranked against skilled players. Yasuo can wipe out whole teams in fairly common conditions. I just don't get how WR factors in when it's so easily skewed on popular champs.

I mean, he is one of the best yasuo players out there, and they have prior experience working with him, as he play tested zoe and has been to riot hq before

Quiet Dude2 votes

I hope they make changes to Yasuo. The guys kit is a logistical Mary Sue nightmare.

The only problem is that Yasuo is a HUGE money maker for Riot. Between skins and merch, Riot makes a killing off him. It’s probably being kept under wraps to not incense his fan base into a hot pocket and fedora fueled rage storm.

They’d be marching on Riot HQ, anime body pillow in one hand, cheap coffee mugs filled with green tea in the other.

Scarra was also invited out (he mentioned it on BtR) and the last time they called out Yassuo it was for Zoe.
