along with the victory, and I get an "A". What's up with this mastery rating system? I for sure thought I would get an S, at least an S-.

The champion mastery grading system takes so much into account that we can only guess. But for starters it compares you to other players who have played the same champion in the same role really well.

As for some things it takes into account there are many guesses: KDA, CS, Wards, and who knows what else. Just play to your best is all that can be said. I recently went 18/10/17 as Sivir and got an S rank. Though in a Xerath game I went 11/2/9 and got an A+. Its sometimes really hard to tell what exactly you did (or what is truly taken into account) that got you an S rank of any kind.

Yea it's really weird. I just went 2-0-17 with Morgana and got an S.

That is actually a really good KDA for a support especially on Morgana! No deaths! Awesome! I bet it took other things into account too like your warding habits and noticed that you warded often and possibly(?) in really good strategic spots. Though that last part on where the wards are placed is just a guess.

Yea I actually did ward really well. Thanks! Morgana is my best support and my favorite champ of all time besides Jinx and Diana.

It compares your score with that of other players. Say you play morgana mid and get tons of kills/CS and little deaths. You will prolly get a high grade considering morg support is much more popular than morg mid, and that a mid's score in terms of KD and cs is typically better than that of a support. As for the OP, I bet their CS score was not that high compared to other annie players at the point of the game OP was at when the game ended. I've noticed that CS is more important that actual KDA for most champs......

That wouldn't surprise me honestly. And it makes sense.

Kinda. Just makes it hard for supports to get good grades when said supports can also play in other lanes (I.E. Lulu), as supports will almost always get lower grades since they don't get high CS (though, they do get lots of assists, which i'm sure are equal to kills in this system).

I'm pretty sure it compares your CS to the other players of support as well. On average most supports don't get much CS, if any at all. Some that LOVE using the Relic Shield support item line could probably be expected to get more CS then the average support since they want to proc the passive and still let their carry get gold from what they kill.

its just really hard to actually determine what exactly is taken into account and how its calculated differently for each role.

You got 3 kills too many, and needed one more assist.

What was your CS for the game, and how long was the game? This system highly relies on your CS. Even if your KDA was good, if your CS was bad or just average, your grade will be lower than expected. I've gone 2/5/7 on kog adc with around 340 cs and got an S-, while my mid was like 12/4/8 with 200 cs and only got an A+.

LOL my cs was awful, 142. That's always my downfall, getting enough.
