Not impressive...I got placed all the way back in Silver II after being Plat last season and I got to back to Plat within 3 weeks. Also only playing solo.

What matters is that no one will acknowledge your rank as anything meaningful anymore....you definitely did a good job of getting of climbing a whole tier but everyone knows you could have just done that with the dynamic boost system.

There's no point in the Dynamic boosting thing. I want to climb, not be placed, in a high rank. The reason I felt it was impressive was that I didn't just climb back to where I was last season, I climbed further. That's what I find important, and hopefully over the summer I can keep going to either high gold or maybe plat.

Season rewards never meant much anyways. It was always an easy thing to grab them through ranked teams, and duo boosting to gold isn't exactly difficult.

A true solo queue would be phenomenal, but also find it unlikely

On Hard reset MMR: The soft reset should be enough, given that everyone is brought down a full tier on average. Anyone that was boosted would be brought down more (drops increase the higher elo you're at). Anyone that's left above their level will naturally fall within a couple months.

On season rewards: If they really mean nothing, everyone will know they mean nothing. Oh, you have victorious X skin? Means nothing. During season 7, oh you have X border? Means nothing.

If they want to save face they'll release a full out solo queue. Probably not going to happen at this point though.

They don't need to skip a season. They just need to add solo queue from scratch (essentially a hard reset). Let them keep their dynamic queue ranks and borders for dynamic. And those that play solo queue will see solo queue borders next season.
