Vlad is joining the azir/ryze/kalista trio

Champ is absolutely fucking stupid in competitive and high elo even though his lower elo win rate isnt that good.

This champ is seriously way too good in the right hands and incredibly safe early game when thats the only time you have to put him in the dirt.

Even worse, hes an INSANE flex pick that can go top, mid, and adc.

He's just good lategame. Not too great early and mid. Nowhere near Azir/Ryze/Kalista levels of problematic.

Ryze and Kalista specifically heavily reward extreme levels of cooperation. Kalista because of her partner, Ryze because of multiple champs teleporting. Azir is less toxic than the other two, but his problem is that he can do basically everything if you're good enough at him.

Vlad doesn't really have anything that extreme, outside of his ult.

you kidding? He comes online at 6 by virtue of what his ult does.

He's basically a different version of GP early game so he's oppressive as fuck to melees. Unlike GP though, sanguine pool is a WAY better escape tool than oranges.

Vlad is actually fucking stupid, he just sucks below diamond.

Should just be 1 or at most 2 people he's ulting. Way less significant than 4-5 man ulting. Bot lane vlad is an exception.

Regarding laning? He is way less oppressive than GP because his poke is less obnoxious and he's worse at zoning off champs.

GP is better than vlad at countering diving not because of oranges but also barrels, passive, and (rarely) ult.

Vlad bot is BAD.

Did you watch TL vs 100thieves?

Like I said in a previous thread one all in against vlad in the early levels and he is a goner. He is not made to handle the pressure.

The ONLY lane you can actually successfully climb with him in is mid. Why? Mid laners usually can't all in, they rely on poking down the enemy.

Wow who would've thought a champion with huge burst, good sustained damage, no resources management, ranged point and click attacks, untargetability, teamfighting, splitpushing, siegi---...... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've recently started playing him and I'm silver, I'm not good at him and I can't carry but o boy I can get fed and deal damage if I just stay safe early game and farm

When you get good with him you can easily carry games all the way to plat.

However you said it perfectly.

You have to stay safe and farm, staying safe is not possible against all in comps.

I think making his pool have a weakness outside of its cool down would be a good way to give windows to punish him.

He can be really frustrating to play against. I mean as it stands I think the best way to deal with him in lane is to insta-clear waves and walk away since his waveclear is meh early. Even then, he won’t run out of resources and he’s a slippery gank target. Riot tries to avoid uninteractive stuff like this- look at the nerf to Doran’s ring stacking to prevent top lane from just being tanks waveclearing and walking away. Mid lane recently lost out on early mana sustain to avoid this gameplay too.

Not say vlad is busted, but he can be really uninteractive. Kudos to riot adding his meter and minion block on his waveclear in 2016- good moves in the right direction imo.

It costs a huge percentage of his hp? It only heals him if he's damaging things. If he's using it as an escape it's alot worse.

Madsin252 votes

The way to deal with vlad is all in him. It is an extremely simple concept.

If you lack engage against vlad in any lane you are going to have a hard time.

a good vlad makes me wanna rip my eyes out

vlad is manaless and bullies out most lanes while scaling disgustingly hard. 3700 HP with heavy sustain but let me guess, just ignite, just get morellos. yeah this will surely stop him form one hitting you, pooling, using zhonyas, making hes team do more damag,e and still having over 1500 HP.

vlad should never have been released, same with rengar.
