I guess if you like to use his abilities a lot/not that great at dodging enemy skill shots then Flask would be the better choice in my opinion.
SouL1ess1 votesIf you are against AD assassin, use flask + 3 to trade with him better (and poke). This includes Fizz.
If you are against a mage-type character and you are confident in your abilities to hit and run, take longsword + 3 pot.
But the more comfortable you are with Talon, the more reason to start longsword + 3 pot.

Largely due to him being extremely gated by mana The other is that anyone that knows how to lane against talon will bully the crap out of him early. I don't wanna go back buy more pots be more behind in cs and exp
