What happened to nocturne?

He probably pressed R, but don't worry you'll see him soon ;)

He's not bad by any means, he just was in a rough spot being bounced around by tanks a couple patches ago. As the tank meta fades, he will probably see some more gameplay.

He has this problem of not being naturally tanky enough to survive the way he assassinates, and is dependant on his ult to contribute to teamfights.

So he's forced to build a Randuin's Omen + Merc Treads most of the time, and assuming he can kill the enemy proficiently, he otherwise builds straight damage, but it's still not enough compared to some other assassins.

I picked him up recently, and he still works, just takes some getting used to. Compared to Rengar or Kha'Zix, he just doesn't have the immediate damage output they do, but his map presence is much stronger.

was he top tier pick in competetive play in season 4? i honestly dont remember that. i remember seeing him occassionally, but definitely not "every game". but that might be just me.

well, he was in korean lcs 2-3 weeks ago once. they built him full damage and he destroyed. then, one day later, he was in either european or NA lcs once, built on full tank being full useless and they lost easy.

that was all i saw of nocturne in competetive play this season. tho i main him myself and see him occassionally in soloQ. really a very strong pick.
